We're totally not religious but I would like this song for the father daughter dance. What do you ladies think?

Great song, and I don't think it's too religious. It is perfectly fine.

@Cola262:I don't want to come off as rude but unless it has specific meaning I would definitely research other songs.  That song is so unbelievably over-played and I can't help but cringe when I'm at a wedding and they play it.

My dad used to sing this song to me. I say go for it if you love it! Maybe it's over-played for a reason.

Never thought about it as religious. My sister and dad danced to it at her wedding.

I know it talks about bedtime prayers, but other than that, I don't think "RELIGIOUS" when I hear it. I think it's totally fine if you want to use it.

It's fine. And who cares if it's overplayed? I love this song too.

Never knew it was religious. Just because it has been recorded by religious singers doesn't make the song religious at all. Use it if you want to.
