I added buttons and bling all the way down the train. I know the picture doesn’t do it justice. I think the buttons is what made my alterations soooooo expensive. I paid somewhere around 700 dollars for the whole thing (taking in, hemming, bustle, buttons).

I absolutely LOVE it. The buttons were a must for me.

I’m tagging in to follow this thread too because I’m not sure if I want to add some buttons to my zipper as well! Here’s me trying on the sample. What do you think?

pumilionis:  I am all for buttons so if I was you, I’d do it for sure. It is a very cute touch and believe it not, it is a very noticeable one too.

I added them and it LOOKS AMAZING. No pics yet. But completely change the dress, in a good way

MrsJBtoB:  I think buttons are beautiful!  A word of caution though – if you get the loops over the buttons, ask for the loops to be elastic, or get a crochet hook or something to close them, and PRACTICE!  I have been a bridesmaid in two weddings where they had non-elastic loops, and it was an unexpectedly very time consuming process, and very stressful for the bride.  It took like 30 minutes to get all the loops on and no one was prepared for it.  But as long as you skip the loops,  get elastic ones, or you’re prepared to deal with the non-elastic ones, it’s a beautiful touch.
