Did you pay with paypal? Can you start a case through there as well?
I'm so sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can get your money back and this person won't get away with it.
That really sucks! This makes me so afraid of ordering stuff on the classifieds
Aw don't be afraid of ordering off classifieds, there must be so many good ones out there, I still plan on buying mine online, but I'll be doing google searches first of the seller's name!
Now if anyone searches the seller angeliquesmemoires, this thread will come up so hopefully they won't get ripped off.
Did you pay for it with a credit card? You can contact your CC company and they will reverse the charges. I had this done once before.
I use a AmEx card for all my wedding purchases and all I have to do it go online to my account, click the charge, select dispute and put in what happened. They do a quick investigation and proof, the charge is reversed. Good luck! =)
One ebay tip I always use, check how long they've actually been an ebay member. Then check their ebay seller feedback as opposed to their ebay buyer feedback. Even if they have 100% feedback it might be because they've only had a handful of sales. I had this exact thing happen to me once and I noticed a pattern. If they have a high feedback rating and they still run you look at how long they've been a member and inevitably it's less than a year (usually only a few months). Sometimes you'll notice a listing for something you were watching is "frozen" it's because ebay has "frozen" it you'll notice the sellar usually has only been a memeber for a few months. i think the scammers work this way and ebay freezes those accounts when they're trying to get money back. So my rule of thumb is if they've been a memeber with ebay for a year or more they're usually on the up and up. This gives them time as a seller to build their business and as a buyer it ususally means theres a fair amount of customer feedback for you to look at.
oh and of course aways use a credit card via paypal to pay for things for the added protection.
def. appreciate the heads up!

Hey everyone,
This is a sad cautionary tale, one of many on the internet I'm sure, sadly I got suckered.
I just want to warn any other future brides not to buy from 'Angeliquesmemoires' on ebay. I found what I thought was my dream vintage dress (lacey, old fashioned, with sleeves, but I was going to alter it to be strapless), only to find out that the buyer took the money and ran. It's not a lot of money, only around $100, but still, it's kind of a cruel thing to scam someone over.
I've lodged a case with ebay and started to see other people's feedbacks saying the same thing (when I bid on the dress, the feedback was almost 100% positive). Anyway, hopefully someone else will keep their money because of this post.
