I’ve been having some buyer’s remorse since I bought my dress last year. It finally came in and I had my first fitting today, and I had a meltdown. I felt a lot better after talking to the seamstress about it, but I still have some misgivings about my dress. I’m worried that it’s probably just body image issues I have about myself, and no matter what I wear I’m going to be unhappy. I bought my particular dress because my mom and friends freaked out when I tried it on, and then I freaked out and just bought it in a haze of crying people and champagne and screaming girls.
Here are pictures from my fitting today:
I’m sorry I don’t know why the pictures are sideways.
Anyone have any advice? I don’t know what to do 🙁

I have to say I think you look stunning in this dress. 100%. What about it makes you feel weary?

I feel like I look chubby in this dress. I just feel like it could be sexier and I worry that my fiance won’t like it (I mean ACTUALLY like it, he’ll say he does no matter what). The seamstress said it’s because we all have to wear white poofy dresses for our weddings and there’s nothing more unattractive and un-figure-flattering, which is probably true.

I also think that you dress is absolutely amazing… and I’m not just saying that.. what about the dress do you not like?? It looks amazing on you… and it is also a gorgeous gown!

Like I said, I think it may just be my own body image stuff cropping up… hopefully once it actually fits me (the top is HUGE right now, woohoo for little boobs!) I’ll be happier about it :/
I also have not breathed a word of any of this to my mom, she is absolutely in LOVE with the dress.

We’re so hard on ourselves aren’t we? To me, you look so gorgeous and have a figure to die for! I think it’s so flattering and you wear it well. Although, I know in my own dress I feel rather chunky too! Something about them….ha!

chubby? you look amazing.

You are truly gorgeous, it’s extremely flattering. I’m so sorry you feel this way. See how you feel when it fits properly. How is your stress level in other ways?

I think a major part of the problem is it looks quite a bit large on you. They will take it in, right? If so then I think it’ll look great!

You look nice, I’m not sure what your seamstress said was true, my dress was an ivory , sexy figure hugging Vera wang (Lindsey) that was incredible. You don’t look chubby but what you seem to be expressing is this dress is not “the one” i felt that way about my 1st dress and people tried to reassure me by saying ” not everyone has that a ha moment” that wasn’t true as I had that moment 2 months before my wedding when I just happened to try on the Vera.

KathrynKraft: If you are worried about chub and you already lift weights, do cardio, eat right and get enough sleep then it’s time to talk to a therapist about your dress anxiety.

My stress level regarding the wedding is low, I haven’t had any other major issues. The rest of my life is crazy, I work upwards of 80 hours a week and am currently raising 10 puppies as well as living apart from my fiance… I’m also trying to find time to work out and eat right, although my eating is probably the least organized thing about me right now. I may or may not have eaten an entire tray of brownies (albeit sugar free and made with pumpkin) in the course of two days last week 😉

I was expecting some kind of hot mess. But it is a very pretty dress and body-wise I am pretty sure many if the bees would be envious! You will rock it!

Chubby??!! My suggestion would be to keep eating brownies! You are skinny!! The dress is gorgeous and so are you.

Your body looks AMAZEBALLS in that dress!!! What is it about it that you have misgivings about? the shape? the details? Your figure in it? The style?
