I would definitely do a search for this in the search bar on the right upper hand side. some brides have had a great dress delivered, other brides have had subpar dresses.
I wouldn't trust either of those two sites. Both of which are selling knockoffs...which is totally fine in my opinion IF you know what you were getting. But, those sites use the manufacturer pictures for the dress and then send you their version....so you really have no idea what you are getting. There are a few others that make custom dresses and pretty good replica dresses that will show you photos of their actual work online. If you are going that route, you might want to look into Milly's Bridal or I've also read about one called Jay's, but I read a lot more positive thins about Milly.
Like 2010bride2bee said, both of those websites are not selling you the actual Maggie Sottero dress that you like. They will custom make the dress to look like the Maggie, and you would just have to hope you like how it turns out. I personally would not recommend that because it's very risky. The quality of fabric and workmanship could be horrible and it could turn out not looking enough like the dress you really wanted.
I would suggest getting a quote for that Maggie dress from Netbride.com, which is an authorized online shop of ACTUAL designer gowns (i.e. they don't make knock-offs). I ordered my Watters dress from them and saved $400.
I'm not sure if this site has Maggie Sottero however I know they have good reviews and were named Number 1 from The Knot for 2008-2009.
It is called Halfbridal.com.
Good Luck!
I bought my Watters dress from House of Brides online and saved $600. I would also look on your designer's webpage to find authorized sellers. That way you know you are actually getting the dress you want.
@ stigninkgo, I was thining about buying from there....do you have pics of the dress vs what you actually received?
I would suggest looking for it on a gently-used site like oncewed.com or one of the other sites... for some reason those seem more authentic since there is one girl behind the sale. Plus, once you hear why they are selling, the dress story, their weddng story, etc. it feels a bit more trustworthy. But, I guess there may still be some risk.
Also, maybe check out Mikaella bridal gowns - they have a few with similar feel - sweetheart neckline, ruching, and side brooches. Mine is style 1239 (the picture doesn't really do it justice though). http://www.mikaellabridal.com/

OK so I am trying to cut down some things for the wedding and I am set on a pricey object of affection....HOWEVER I found it cheaper Maggie Sottero "Melissa Brooch" has anyone dealt with ordering dresses off the internet? How did it go? Normally melissa brooch is 850...I found it for 200-215. Check out these sites and let me know what you think! :)
