I went to pick up my wedding dress yesterday and found out the store is closing and selling their sample dresses for great prices. I had toyed with the idea of getting a reception dress as I’m concerned about the weight and heat (wedding in August and we have record temps already), but I wasn’t too serious and haven’t looked much. I decided to try on a few while at the shop and found a lace dress I really like, it fits almost perfectly and it’s so much lighter and easier to move. However, looking at the pictures now, is it too simple after the first dress?
(Note that I’m standing on the pedestal in both dresses, I wish I was that tall.)
Here’s my dress:
It’s a little crooked so you can see my bra, that won’t happen on the big day 🙂
Here’s the 2nd dress I would get:

as pretty as it is, i don’t think it’s worth the added stress. i LOVE a good deal so i understand how hard this might be. i understand the whole reception dress if you go from like a poofy ballgown to something crazy sexy, but both those dresses are pretty to the same level i think, so it’s not worth it.
i also think your original dress is more flattering! we look like we have very similar body structure (i also got a satin ruched dress!) and i think you look tinier in the waist in your original 🙂

livcurious: I’d just stick to the one you have. I think it would look odd if you went from the first to the second. They are completely different styles and I think the first flatters you more.

I love your first dress. It looks so good I wouldn’t want to take it off and change into a different dress!

stick with just your dress

livcurious: I agree with all the other ladies! I wouldn’t get a second one either unless you were going short or something.
