@destin13:  I didn’t order online, but I would recommend checking out local boutiques first and see what they have “off the rack.” I bought my dress and left with it that day because they were having a sample sale. It’s the best way of being sure it will fit and you like the look of it on you. Sure, it may not be your exact size (since it is a sample), but you will be able to get alterations started right away.

Given your timeline, you may not want to risk recieving a dress you don’t love or you will have to make serious alterations to.

I got mine made from Jasmine’s bridal. There are so many brides on here that rave about Jasmines Bridal and it’s a really reputible site. They have been wonderful so far. Maybe do a search on Wedding Bee for Jasmine’s Bridal…there are many threads out there on it. I’ve also heard good things about Dressilyme as well. There are many good threads about them on here as well. They also have dresses on their websites that you can choose from or they can make a replica of the one you want. My only concern is that your wedding is only 2 months away, so you would have to put a rush order in. If you email them, make sure you put in the subject line Rush Order! And send it with high priority email. This way they would most likely get on it sooner! There are also second hand sites like preownedweddingdresses.com. Yes they are second hand but there are so many AMAZING dresses on there and you can do a search on the exact size/style you want. Just another idea. Good luck and keep us updated! 🙂

I agree with bmo88. That may be your safest bet timewise. They also give great deals for sample dresses. 🙂

@destin13:  I’m from the Fort Walton area, and got my (first) wedding dress at a little store that was on Eglin Pkwy. Can’t remember the name of that place, but they had dresses, shoes, and more stuff. A nice dark-haired woman ran the place. I wish I could tell you the name, but it was nearly a decade ago. Have you looked in the FWB/Niceville areas as well as Destin for bridal shops? I think you’d have better luck with getting an off-the-rack dress, especially considering the short time frame. 🙂

I had went dress shopping but never found a dress that I liked everything about. Then I saw mine online and knew it would be perfect. The Pronovias Pascua…which was of course discontinued. Came across a website for a store in Ireland that had one in stock that I could buy. I decided to go for it without having seen it in person or ever having tried it on since they had a return policy for the gowns they had in stock and allowed you to purchase online, only losing shipping costs if it did’t work out. the name is McElhinney’s. They had great customer service. Gown was in perfect condition and absolutely perfect for me! They didn’t have a very large selection of gowns available for order as is like mine but they did have some very nice ones and if you do see one you can’t pass up I would highly recommend them! I also had found that the vows website [bridepower.com] (from TLC I found the gown) offers quite a large selection of their stock for sale online and allows returns if I remember correctly.
