I am but i'm making all the centerpieces and bouquets myself so I don't have pictures
I'm going to buy mine online from Sams, I'm doing carnation centerpeices & balls!
I'll buy mine from ftd.com but am going to buy bulk flowers to arrange as centerpieces and am not sure yet of what to do for my bouquet. I'll be buying corsages and bouteniers from ftd too. I am a part of mypoints.com and am using the points that I've gained in the past 2 years to get gift cards to use to pay for some of the flowers.
I ordered mine from Sam's Club online. They were huge. I got Calla Lillies and White and Green roses
DO NOT BUY YOUR FLOWERS from fiftyflowers.com................my otherwise perfect wedding on 10/2/2009 was ruined by this company and they are giving me the run around about reimbursing me for the faulty colored flowers they sent. I will be happy to forward my correspondence with fifityflowers.com along with pictures of what I ordered versus what was rec'd. Instead of going on and on about how unsatisfied I am, I will let you be the judge of it yourself. Please feel free to email me at <span style="font-size: x-small; color: #81a026;">arksaddress@aol.com and I will be happy to share my experience, pictures and all.
Rock on! I didn't even know you could buy flowers at Sams Club!
I ordered from fiftyflowers.com and they were great. It sucks that you had a bad experience arksaddress, but I have heard overwhelmingly positive reviews from people who used fifty flowers.
Ordering our flowers online saved us probably $1500-$2000. I would say it was definitely worth it! We ordered flowers that were sturdy and would hold up well (carnations, phlox, ranunculus) and the colors all looked great. But we weren't too picky about color, just wanted a range of shades in yellow and orange. I think if you are very picky, you're better suited using a florist.
Fiftyflowers.com stands behind our flowers as well as customer service. We have personally apologized with our customer for the inconveniences experienced with her order, and compensation has been issued as requested. Our goal is to strive to make our clients happy by providing beautiful wedding flowers. While the pictures for the customer sent did not represent the problem as accurate as possible, we were happy to work with our customer to ensure customer satisfaction.
I ordered flowers from fiftyflowers.com and wholeblossoms.com and was very happy with both. I was worried because I was having them delivered to the resort office of where we were staying for our destination wedding in a very small, remote town but everything was on time and looked great. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
I was not too picky on color, other than they should have been shades of blue and not bright purple as I rec'd. Afterall , I did order the Blue Classic Wedding Centerpieces (thier description). I am happy for those who were satisfied with fiftyflowers, weddings are stressful enough. Wishing everyone a happy marriage!!!!
I agree with the above warning against buying from fiftyflowers. Of course I tried to leave a negative testimonial on their website but they clearly screen their testimonials which is why there are only positive ones on there. As far as the person who said they were not picky about color - I completely agree - you have to NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT THE COLOR. I ordered a mix of orange and yellow gerberas and well over half of my order was pink and white gerberas - that didn't really work for me. I wasn't picky about the oranges and yellows but pink and white was not going to work. To add insult to injury, you must photograph the pictures of the wrong flowers and then e-mail them to get them to rectify the situation. All 1 day before your wedding when you have to figure out another plan for flowers. I had my sister handle the complaining part - they told her that THEY KNEW THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT FLOWERS TO FILL MY ORDER WHEN THEY SENT THEM OUT. THEY KNEW!. They also told her that pink and white work for a lot of weddings so they thought they might work. What might have worked would have been telling me 72 hours before my wedding that they couldn't fullfill the order rather than having me find out when they were delivered 24 hours before. Don't get me wrong - they called 72 hours before to tell me that everything was fine and that my order was on it's way - no note of the fact that they actually couldn't fill my order. In my mind that is the lowest of the low. I would have had 3 days to figure out the flower situation rather than less than 24 hours.
I will enjoy seeing what fiftyflowers says about this review - I'm sure that they will say that they "personally appologized" and "compensated" me appropriately. Actually, I recieved no appology at all. Their follow up e-mail said something to the effect of them appreciating my understanding. Clearly I am not understanding. The compensation actually was refunding me the money for the wrong colored gerberas but even in figuring that out - they short-changed me. Not worth further infuriating interactions with this company. I am glad that many brides are having much better experiences than mine. I would not want other people to have to deal with these problems the day prior to the wedding. I would never use them based on their clear lack of regard for their customers and I would caution other folks as well.
We would like to share another side to the story. The bottom line was a full refund for this order on the same day the flowers were received.
FiftyFlowers indeed did make the mistake of shipping 50% of her order with wrong color flowers, which rarely occurs. Even the best companies make mistakes from time to time. In this bride’s case, one of her boxes of gerbera daisies was erroneously mislabeled in our shipping department. Instead of receiving 240 Fall Mix Gerbera Daisies, she received 120 Fall Mix and 120 Pastel Mix. We are genuinely sorry for the mix up.
Fiftyflowers deeply cares about our brides and we understand the situation our mistakes can cause. It would have been our pleasure to have replaced the flowers for delivery the next day, correct our grave mistake; however, in this case the bride did not report the color mistake until 2:30pm. As soon as the problem was reported, we tried to fix it. Unfortunately, by that time, our post harvest had shut down for the day and it was impossible to pack and ship out flowers. If the bride would have contacted us immediately after receiving her flowers at 10:19 am, we could have corrected it immediately by reshipping 120 fall colored gerbera daisies.
In Conclusion, at 5:35 on the day our bride received the flowers we fully refunded her credit card for our mistake. We do not deny making a mistake and fully refunded the client. We extend our apologies to this bride for the negative experience she had with Fiftyflowers.com and also want to ensure future brides that we guarantee our flowers and service.
icandy - where did you get those? I've been looking for a simple bouquet just like that!
umm now im scared.. i live in ny and was just on the fiftyflowers website.. and i would die if my order was wrong.. i was thinking about shipping my flowers but im not sure now ..
Girls,
I guess we should buy our flowers at a local flower shop... This way we can prevent any mistakes at the last minute. I hope you girls find your perfect flowers and that everything turns out okay! :)
