I’ve oredered my dress online from Jasmine’s Bridal. $600 for veil, underskirt, and dress versus $12,000 in a bridal salon. I think the money saved and how nice it looks is beyond worth it!

stores like jasmine’s shop, wishbridal, ebay are good choices. Usually you can have a top-quality wedding dress around $400. Less than this is not good to try.

    Brimuz1992:

I ordered mine from Dressilyme. With custom measurements and the request of the black cascading flowers and sash, and delivery from China to the US was $275!!! No alterations needed! I would do it again tomorrow. (Top dress: me in it, bottom dress: picture on the website)

Only if you trust the site, & know your size/ measurements, otherwise if I saw that price for a random site I’d think it’s too good to be true. Like a pp mentioned, jasmines does custom dresses for way less & quite a few bees have gone that route.

I ordered a dress from DH Gate’s Denias bridal. I highly recommend them. Everything was just as I ordered it to measure. It fit perfectly. Colour was exactly what I wanted and the replica was almost bang on. Shipping and communication was excellent. You have so much time so I would def take a chance!

Brimuz1992:  If you have the time and don’t mind the risk, I would say, do it! There was a dress on ebay that looked perfect that was only $100. My FI said I would be crazy if I didn’t try it because worse-case scenario we could donate it. I had so much fun ordering. In the end, I did not like it (I wasn’t crazy about one of the features, and although the lace was beautiful I decided I didn’t want lace), but I totally would have wondered if I hadn’t ordered it! And now somebody will have a brand new dress. So it was win-win.

I tried this and the dress looked HORRIBLE on my body. I gave DressTalk on Etsy even more measurements than they asked for and told them that bridal size 16 at DB fit me perfectly without the need for any alterations. What I got was very oddly shaped… and I lost just under $200 on it (no returns). They made the torso so short that it looked like my boobs faded straight into my hips. It was the most oddly fitting dress I’ve ever seen. I would say stay away from that shop. You’ve got plenty of time and if you don’t mind possibly losing the $400, then go for it. If $400 seems like a lot of money to lose then keep shopping around and even look at places like Tradesy to see if you can find the designer dress you want pre-owned.
