@skinnypinkmartini:  she tried on a bunch of the vera white dresses so if you post a pic if the one you like I can tell you more about it. I looked at all the ones in person

Which dress are you looking at? I’m sure that one of us here on the bee has either worn it or seen it and we can help with your decision.

I’m not sure that DB actually ships internationally, so you might need to send it someone in the USA/Canada and have them send it to you.

I wouldn’t worry about the discontinued price ebing too good to be true. DB is a huge company that needs to liquidate their dresses from time to time considering that they bring new things in all the time. That being said my absolut dream dress was orgionally $1200 from DB. I picked that bad boy up for $237 after taxes.

@skinnypinkmartini:  The only reason it’s so discounted is because it’ll probably be discontinued soon so you are definitely not getting a used or stained dress, it’ll be brand new 🙂 I got a white by vera wang and I absolutely love it..it’s not a ball gown like yours but I’ve tried on a few of the white tulle ball gowns and they are beautiful!

Yeah, i think that one is from the Spring 2013 collection right? That’s why it’s on discount. I tried on a White by Vera Wang dress and it was very nice. The style was there, although, it is made from cheaper materials than a real Vera, obviously. It’s also not as full as it looks in the picture (I saw someone trying it on). It might need a crinoline underneath to make it really full.

I did buy a reception dress from David’s Bridal and they ordered it in from me and it was brand new and unwore. I think you shouldn’t have a problem ordering from them.

@skinnypinkmartini:  I actually tried this dress on last year. Again, that’s probably why it’s so heavily discounted because I was trying it on last Christmas. Here’s a couple (pretty bad) pictures of me in it. It didn’t do anything for me, but you can get a better idea of what it looks like in real life. I hope this helps!

That dress is gorgeous! I don’t know too much about the White collection but did want to pipe in on size – Vera dresses run smaller than most. I typically wear a 10 dress,  averaging a 14 in most wedding dresses and Vera was a 16-18 so keep that in mind when ordering!

I like the tulle. It’s not hard or scratch at all. My VW White dress has a tulle bottom as well. (This is not me in the picture).

@skinnypinkmartini:  I feel bad because I don’t remember having any specific thoughts about the quality of the tulle, but maybe that means that it wasn’t so low quality that I noticed. I’m pretty sure that David’s overall has okay quality tulle and with the VW White collection I would think the tulle would be a little higher quality than a normal David’s dress. I wish I could be more help!
