My brother is getting married in a few months and had set up two wedding registries. Is it rude to buy things from the registry and give them to him and fiancee for Christmas?
His Fiance is super sweet but I don’t know her that well. I am shying away from any bedroom/bathroom stuff (like comforters, pillows) but am thinking some kitchen items would work. Or is this rude, considering now she might have to add extra items to the registry?

The registry is a list of things they want/need. So I don’t see any problem with buying Christmas presents off it. I would totally do that.

I’m actually hoping people buy off our registry for Christmas. Fiance and I are living at home until we’re married, so we will need a ton of stuff. I say go ahead and buy off the registry for Christmas!

@Fall_In_Love22: Ditto. FI’s dad asked what we wanted and I was like “uh, just tell him to look at the registry.” I honestly don’t think we have any room in our apartment to fit anything else!

I turned 30 a few months before we got married and I got lots of gifts off my registry. I was excited.

Go for it! I purposely registered before the holidays so that our families could do their holiday shopping from our registry. Makes it easy for them and we get stuff that we like and want. It’s a win-win.

I totally would buy something they wanted off of the registry. Better than them having to return something they don’t want or wouldn’t use.
