i found the dress that i really want to wear for my big day; but there isn’t a bridal shop in my area that carry’s it. the designer doesn’t sell the dress online either!
but i did find a site online that recreates the dress!?!? i can get it made the same and sent to my home; but i’ve been told NEVER to buy a dress online, especially with out trying it on. im very torn; have the dress i love made or try to find one locally that will cost so much more and i wont like as much. we have 2 bridal shops, a macy’s and a 2 ross store on my island. there isn’t much to choose from.
is there anyone that has had a good eperince of buying online, using their messurements?
if you had a bad experince, let me know too…

I haven’t bought a dress online, so I can’t really help you. I hear good things about netbride.com, though. I think that is one that is worth looking into.
Does the designer list size charts on their website? You can measure your chest, waist, and hips and figure out what your size is based on the chart. If you are worried about the dress being too tight, you can round up – and then have a tailor near you alter it for you to fit.
Pretty dress, btw. I like that the bottom comes off. I joke with my FI about getting a dress like that, and then during our first dance, he "accidentally" steps on my dress and "rips" the bottom off.. causing us to move into a salsa dance or something. hahah. silly me!

I haven’t bought a dress online, but I’m really debating it. I was told by a friend (who’s sister in law bought one online) that you shouldn’t do the custom sizing, and to just go by a "normal" size.
Good luck with it though! The dress I want is like 2500, and online i found it for a grand total (shipping and tax included) for 277!
