I have been toying with it for a few months and then decided enough was enough and started it a few weeks ago. I need it to mainly get back to where I was with my running last year before getting married and taking a huge amount of time off from working out due to life :). I am finishing week 3 today and this week was hardest for me bc I was sick and I work nights and was flat out exhausted this week and for some reason, my legs felt like a ton of bricks and were hard and swollen as hell. They do that alot after I work alot of nights in a row and I cant figure it out. I love the program and signed myself up for 2 5ks this fall. A friend of mine just finished it and I am so proud of her. She never ran or worked out a day in her life and she was able to do it. I have always wanted to do a 5k but never had the stamina to do so. I am hoping this will build it up! By no means do I want to be fast, I just want to be able to run a whole 5k with no walking. Good luck!
I'm doing it!!! I kind of fell off the wagon a bit towards the end of this week (I repeated week 1 for safety) but I start week 2 next week!
good for you! i love this program and am a big proponent of it. i graduated a couple weeks ago and ran my first 5 k last weekend so keep it up! you'll be amazed at the progress you'll make in this program. good luck!
I'm getting ready to start it! I'm waiting a few more days though, the only track I have access to is outdoors and we are having a horrible heat wave right now.
I did it back in Jan-Mar of this year to prep for my first-ever 5K on my 32nd birthday.
Be warned, though--I didn't lose ANY weight doing just running. If you look at all into any of Tony Horton's info (the P90X guy--who I totally believe in), he says that just cardio won't help you lose weight, you have to lift weights too. (Plus proper diet, of course.) As soon as I finished the 5K, I started mixing weights back into my routine and THEN the pounds started coming off.
Good luck... with whatever your goal is!
like @tea, I graduated from C25K a couple of weeks ago and I will be running my first 5K on July 4, my first 10K on July 11, and my first 1/2 marathon over labor day weekend!
Conrats on starting the program, it is so worth it in the end! Here are links to a few other C25K posts you might find helpful:

Good luck!!
@zippylef: It's been so hot here as well and ALOT of rain. I find that I run better around 10 p.m. There's a nice residential neighborhood that has good sidewalks across from my apartment complex. I'm careful and prefer to run while it's cooler at dusk. My watch has a stopwatch feature and it also lights up, I don't run with my iPod b/c music is more of a distraction than I need especially when I'm trying to be careful. Plus I can never motivate myself to run early in the morning. (My normal work schedule allows for me to be up late)
As for weightloss, I lost about 5 lbs so far. My goal however is to enjoy running and get in my weekly exercise.
I'm not really looking into losing anymore weight. I've lost about 50lbs since having my daughter. I'm needing to tone up now, mostly. =] Soo excited to see the increase in my endurance!
i'm doing it! i did w4d1 today and it was a lot harder than the other workouts..BUT i made it through! :) i really like the program..and my fiance started it last week too because he was impressed with it.
My FI and I are doing it, we're on w5d2 (again). Week 5 seemed like a huge jump it's been intimidating. :p
I finished week 5 this past week and started week 6 last night. I couldn't finish the 20 minute run without 30 seconds of walking here and there. I'm just not there yet, but I can definitely run 12 minutes without stopping for 30 seconds. I'm feeling a bit down about it though. It makes me wonder if I can run a 5k without stopping in August.
@completelyrandsomsally - congrats! I have to do run 2 of week 1 tonight. Got sooo sidetracked this weekend with our Stag and Doe! Must...stay.....focused
Weeks 5 & 6 are the hardest, so hang in there. Once you do your 25 minute run at the end of week 6 you're kind of home free. I just finished week 7... starting week 8 tomorrow and feeling good about it. I've never been much of a runner before, so this has been a great way to build into running longer distances.
I'm considering it, but if I do it, I'm not starting until the fall. No WAY am I going running in the heat.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a REALLY GOOD sports bra? My DD's are not conducive to running.
@danadelphia, have you tried the Enell sports bra? I have a 34G cup and there is seriously no bounce with this thing! It does take some getting used to and it's not pretty by any means, but it's worth it for me. They are also expensive (about $70) but they last a long time.
I just started C25K tonight. I did it a few years ago and lost a lot of weight with running and weight watchers. Gained it all back and now I have just 3 months til my wedding! I think as long as you don't eat all the calories you burn running you will lose weight.
The first 2 workouts of week 6 were hard, but doable. I'm a bit nervous about the 25 minutes. YIKES!
I used to have DDD boobs (they have shrunk tons since I've lost about 50-60lbs, though =[ ) and my Enell was a GODSEND! It's too big for me now, though. But, yeah, they're definitely not pretty. But they do the trick! As long as you're down with not being able to wear tank tops (the bra is seriously like armor, taking up most of your upper half, i swear lol)!
So I may have mentioned once or twice that I've been on week 5 for like... 3 weeks. Totally just did w5d3 without stopping. I'm such a BEAST (in my lingo this means awesome).

I'm only on W1D3 (well, I'll be doing day 3 tmrw) and I like it so far. Im not a runner by any means. I've always hated running. But I signed up for a 5K in Sept so I'm really hoping to be able to run the whole thing! Is there anyone else that's currently doing the C25K program?
