Sorry for all the travel questions lately, but we are hoping to book this week and flights/hotels are filling quickly so I guess I should get on it! Thanks to those for advice on previous posts! These are the three options we have it down to: Cabo, Punta Cana, or Cancun, all would be All-inclusives. We “may” be getting free/cheap airfare with a family members points, so that will determine how nice of a resort we get. I can see the pros and cons to all three. We went to Cancun for our honeymoon in June which was amazing, and it’s the cheaper option, haven’t been to Punta Cana or Cabo, similar price/flight time. Nicer beaches in Punta Cana, but we don’t really plan on swimming much anyway so Cabo would be good too. DH is slightly leaning towards Cabo, I am totally undecided! Share experiences & suggestions 🙂

I haven’t been to cabo, but I loved the atmosphere in Punta Cana. We stayed at the Majestic Colonial and it was lovely (though if going again, we’d stay at the Elegance for the slightly higher fee).
Cancun is more party vibe, Punta Cana is more romantic/relaxing IMO. So it depends what you want from it.
I swam a lot more in Cancun (well we actually stayed in Playa Del Carmen which I recommend). The water wasn’t as nice in Punta Cana, though it was GORGEOUS. Just not as nice for “swimming”.

I went to Cabo in June and absolutely loved it. I liked Punta Cana too but Cabo was the nicest place I have ever been. You’re right, the beach in Cabo is lovely but you can’t swim in alot of it. If that doesn’t bother you and you’re cool with being in the infinity pool and watching the huge waves I’d say go for it. I’ve been all over the Caribbean and still loved Cabo the most. We stayed at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas and LOVED it.

MrsN14: I have been to all 3 and Cancun was the best in my opinion.

I’ve only been to Cancun and loved every second of it. I don’t think you can go wrong regardless of which you choose. 🙂 If I had to pick, I would say go to Cabo since you’re slightly leaning toward it and you’ve already been to Cancun.
