Hey Bee’s my best friend is looking into getting married in Cabo San Lucas and I thought hey who better to ask then all of you!?!
Has anyone gotten married down there, have any suggestions on hotels to use (or to stay away from)?? Anything would help as she’s just starting to plan!

It depends on what kind of wedding venue and what kind of hotel you’re looking for. The beaches in Cabo tend to be rather rocky, so if you’re looking for a beach wedding it may not be the best place for it.
Are you looking for an all inclusive?

ME!!! First, everyone I’ve worked with in Cabo so far has been extremely helpful and so nice. One thing to note is Cabo’s tax/tip policy. It is 11% tax and 17% gratuity added automatically to pretty much everything she’ll need, like lighting, flowers, beverages, etc. We didn’t add that in our cost estimates, oops.
She’ll need to decide if she wants to do it at an All-inclusive resort, timeshare/not all-inclusive resort, or a villa. The all-inclusives can be cheaper for the bride & groom, but *can* be more expensive for guests.
The villas are ah-mazing and great for weddings with around 20 guests. The drawbacks are having to book all of your vendors yourself, or hiring a wedding planner to do it for you. I found several websites where you can view and rent the villa.
We chose to book at a non-all-inclusive resort, really a timeshare place/resort. Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. We chose this because of their amazing location on the Pacific side, not on Mendano Beach which can be crowded during a beach wedding, because they allow kids, have fantastic food, and got really great reviews. We also got a group-rate for booking 10+ rooms which basically cut the price of the rooms in half.
Also, we are doing a beach wedding and both my wedding planner and our photographer (who has worked at the resort before) say that the beach is beautiful and perfect for setting up a wedding.
The hotel’s wedding planner, including in their ceremony rates, is just wonderful and soooo easy to work with. She’s basically gotten me everything I can think up for the wedding.
