how do you make them exactly? i read in one place that you make the cake and then put it in crumbs with frosting? is that how you do it?

I made my first batch of cake balls! They are a little time consuming but pretty easy to make...I just spread the steps out over a weekend. I used a white cake mix and white icing dyed pink, dipped them in chocolate, and topped them with pink cake sparkles. And the heart dish was found at The Dollar Tree!
