I like the show too! If you saw him on the street, you would never know he creates cakes. He seems like a big meathead, then he makes all of these great cakes! And yes, he does overreact, but I think he needs to so people keep watching!!
I love this show... it makes me ALMOST want to get cable again. But really, I don't miss cable enough to get it.
Their cakes are amazing! Every single episode I am amazed. I keep thinking he'll make something that's just "so so" but he doesn't!
I like this show :) The atmosphere in their bakery is a lot different from Ace of Cakes, but I can imagine that's what would happen when you work with a lot of family members.
Buddy is hilarious! FI and I are always cracking up, and it's so true---I keep wanting to tell him to calm down, too! Sadly, every time I watch, someone else in the room has to tell me that they like Ace of Cakes better. I love both--it doesn't have to be a competition!
I love cake boss!! I think buddy is great! Yes..he can be over the top but his family is crazy so he has to be...
I love the drama of Cake Boss, the cakes look great, but they don't seem like they would taste very good. I want to try it one day and decide for myself too bad, I'm on the other coast.
Btw, did anyone see the one of the upper east side girl who drove out there for a tea party cake, they made her look so uppity and snooty that it seemed a bit too set up and scripted. But it was still entertaining.
I love this show!!! My fiance and his family are Italian and this show totally reminds me of them!!! His mother always watches the show to get inspiration for birthday cakes for the family. Did you see his wedding cake episode, HOLY COW they were awesome!!
What about the episode where the chick comes in and ruins her wedding cake with crazy colored icing! Then Buddy has to make a brand new one and she won't come out of the bathroom when he delivers it!
I absolutely LOVE Cake Boss. They are so funny and have an awesome, stereotypical Italian family dynamic. The cakes he makes are amazing too! (ex. the ones he made for, I believe it was, Brides Magazine....so gorgeous!). Has anyone seen the episode where the really nasty bride came in to see her cake (which was beautiful), told Buddy she hated it, and when he went into the other room to figure something out, she took all of his brightly-colored frosting and squirted it on to this perfect, white cake. She absolutely destroyed it; Buddy had to make her a completely new cake in one day (with an entirely different vision than before). ON TOP OF THAT, when he showed up to her wedding with the cake, she would not even acknowledge him! Some people are so thankless. Regardless, though, he makes gorgeous cakes (and it makes for good tv).

Any fans? Somehow I've started watching this show. I'm not sure how or why. Sometimes I want to tell the main guy "enough already, calm down!", but I just love the different cool things they do with cakes. Especially the Sesame Street cake. I actually had one of my own for my 2nd birthday.
