I am in desperate need of some advice! For my wedding in April, I want to do a cake and desserts buffet. I would like to have several different flavored cakes and two of each flavor.
I need to figure out how many cakes to get and how much other desserts… Our wedding will be between 225 and 250 guests. I’m looking at 10″ round cakes: which supposedly serve anywhere from 30-40.
Because it is a buffet, I will be having a designated person preslice all the cakes during the first dance so people don’t take huge pieces. If I have 6 cakes, assuming 30 slices each, that only makes 180. Will everyone want a slice? Even if there are lots of other items like cookies, chocolates ect?
If I do 8 assuming 30, that allows 240 slices. What do you ladies think? 6? 8? Help!
