    Hello, fellow WI bride!  I used to live in Madison, and heard great things about Craig’s Cakes.  I am sure anything they do will be great.

    I choose Pump w/Cheesecake filling.  Sounds seasonally Fall, but delicious.  I also like the idea of the Strawberry w/Key lime.  I sounds like a great Spring/Summer option.  I can’t imagine anyone not liking it.  The Choc w/PB sound like a crowd pleaser.  Everyone seems to love that combo.  I would personally love the mocha filling, but I don’t know that this would be the best choice for a large group.  Kind-of a personal preference sort-of thing.

    When I choose my cake, the baker said it would be best to choose enough cake for everyone to have the same slice.  I don’t know how you are serving your cake, so I can’t really give my opinion on 2 or 3 tiers.  I will only say I would be upset if someone got a piece I wanted but got served something else.

    Good luck!  Looks yummy.  I plan on eating 2 (or 3 pieces) at my wedding, too.

    Oh wow! All of those sound so good! If you go for the option of having extra cake so that people can have seconds then I have a feeling you will end up with lots of left-overs (but maybe that’s a good thing!). 

    I was also thinking that since the peanut butter is not your top favourite, I would pass on it since it’s such a common allergy. Whatever you go with it sounds like it’ll be phenomenal! Enjoy!

    @Ms_Purple:  I don’t like mousse, so none of those would appeal to me.  Can you do a frosting filling on one?

    I chose the choc pb, choc choc mousse, and the pumpkin cheesecake. The pumpkin being my favorite. I’d go 2 tier with a sheetcake in the back.

    We are requesting from disney for cake flavors:





    And a variety of mousses to try. We shall see how it goes this fall :D.

    @Ms_Purple:  I chose the pumpkin w/cheesecake filling, because that sounds AMAZING, as well as the chocolate with PB mousse.  Mmm.  And an extra sheet cake, because I agree:  the only thing better than cake is more cake.  Makes me almost wish we had decided to go with cake instead of cupcakes.

    The sister of one of my high school friends is the head cake designer at Craig’s, and she’s crazy talented.  Getting your cake there, you’ll be able to have whatever design you want on it.  She’s probably the most talented artist I know (she also paints, which makes sense, including body painting!).

    You said strawberry with key lime and my mouth watered! I think you ABSOLUTLY need to keep this one. It is fun and different and no one will expect it. I go for my cake tasting tomorrow (first one) and I hope my cakes look as good as yours! p.s. LOVE the cake stand!!!!!

    @Ms_Purple:  We are using Craig’s as well, our tasting is next month, can’t wait.  I’m excited about the pumpkin and the strawberry, the pink might be fun for my Valentine’s wedding. 


    Can you give me an idea of what the 2 tier cake cost was, also the 3 tier, would like to have an idea and not get sticker shock.

    And where did you find that cake stand, it is awesome!

    i just want to say that our disney wedding cake was chocolate with peanut butter cup mousse. it’s basically peanut butter and chocolate mousse. 

    so that’s what i voted for you too… because it was the best cake i’d ever had in my life. it haunts my dreams…
