I went cake tasting yesterday. I really liked the pumpkin cake but do you think that it would be too fall for a wedding in Feb?
The bakery suggested alternating the teirs so it would be layered with vanilla cake, I could do the whole cake one flavor as well, just kind of like the alternating idea.
The carrot cake was really good too, but quite dense so it would be difficult to alternate that one.
I guess I am just concerned that it seems like such a fall flavor that it would seem out of place in winter.

I love pumpkin regardless of the month lol. I’d like it.
I would do alternating flavors in case some people don’t like pumpkin.

I love pumpkin too! Faced with a similar decision for our February wedding, we’ve decided to serve gingerbread cake with bourbon maple buttercream icing. It’s as delicious as it sounds! 😉

Go for it! But stick with the alternating layers so people can eat the other layer if they aren’t into it.

pumpkin flavor season is a highly anticipated, exciting, special time of year
your wedding is a highly anticipated, exciting, special day in your life
by that logic, pumpkin cake is the perfect choice 🙂

Definitely get whatever cake you want! I agree with alternating the flavours in case not everyone loves pumpkin.
