So I’ve gone back and forth about cake designs over and over. At first I was going to have a brown and white cake (chocolate brown and ivory with pink accents are the colors) but lately I’ve been seeing a lot of really nice white on white cakes. Including the stamps I just sent out with our invitations:
So now I’m thinking about a white iced cake with some white buttercream embellishments, and three large pink accent flowers.
I initially wanted to do a mostly colored cake (chocolate brown) because I didn’t want anything too traditional. But now I’m thinking that white on white is pretty in its own right, rather than boring, and that a little color will pop more against a white background.
What are your thoughts on color vs. white on a cake?
