A TON!  We tasted probably 8 cakes and 8 frostings.  It’s overkill.  lol.  It was our FAVORITE part of wedding planning together – so enjoy it!

Not that many. They asked us if we had anything specific we wanted to try and we said no, so they just brought us out the standard white, yellow, and chocolate cake with 1 frosting and 8 fillings to try.

We only tried 2 flavors because our venue has 3 desserts “cakes” that are included so we wanted something different from those. But we could have tried how ever many we wanted.

They capped us at three, and we could pay like $1.50 or something for each additional flavor we wanted to try. We’re going to go to some more places, though.

We were initially told that we would be able to try as many as we wanted as they make small batches of all of the cakes on a regular basis. Unfortunately, our visit conincided with the return of the baker from vacation and she didn’t have time to make all of the flavors. We got to try the regular white and then the mocha chip. In the end we went with both of those flavors!

The cake itself, we tasted chocolate, white & red velvet.  The fillings/icings, I lost count!  They were all delish.  We were both surprised at how good the red velvet was, so we went with that.

For filling, we chose lemon & a combo of mango/key lime, mmmmm.  I can still taste it, so good!

Hint:  don’t do your cake tasting before lunch.

@mandb122:

Very sensible of you!  I recommend a light lunch.  The cakes & icings are very rich.

I think we did like 8 flavors or something like that.
