Hi Everyone,

I had no idea what my wedding theme would be until I stumbled upon this lovely cake on the knot:

The decorations on the cake match the beads on my dress. I'm thinking of somehow incorporating those strings of fake pearls/beads in my centerpieces as well. The only problem is, I can't figure out what those things on the cake are called. There was no contact info on the knot so I can't contact the featured bride. =(

Does anyone know what those strands of pearl-like beads are called? And where I can get them??

I just saw those at a local craft store in Omaha called Mangelsen's, but I did not find them on their website. I would be happy to go look at them again for you to check the price and quality. A bag of them was not expensive, that I recall. They had in more than one color, too.

It looks like pieces of garland cut up - though with wire and some beads you could make that yourself really fast!

Loacal craft shops will be able to help you more, take the photo in - especially if they have a floral arrangement lady there (Like at Michael's) they would be able to help you quite a bit!

I believe this style of beads on thin wire is called "illusion." Maybe try searching for that?
