I could turn this into a poll, but honestly I don’t think it would let me list all of the possible options! I have a HUGE sweet tooth, so I really love all cake. Some of my most favorites are carrot cake, red velvet, german chocolate, and my grandma’s rum cake!
How about the rest of you, do you have a favorite cake flavor? If so, will you incorporate it into your wedding cake?

I don’t have a favorite flavor but we’re having chocolate/banana with real banana pieces. It’s amazing! Can’t wait!

My fiancee likes things very plain, so we are having two wedding cake flavors: white chocolate and double chocolate. I probably would have liked to do something a little more adventurous but luckily these two flavors are DELICIOUS!

FI LOVES Chocolate so the top & bottom layers are chocolate. I don’t really care much about the cake so he chose! 🙂 The middle tier is vanilla so that non-chocolate people can still have cake! 🙂

I’m all about the chocolate, but our wedding cake is champagne with amaretto buttercream! I can’t wait!

we both LOVE nut cakes, so we’re having a hazelnut meringue cake with chocolate ganache and an almond chiffon white cake with lemon poppyseed curd filling and lavender-infused italien meringue icing!

I love lemon cake… and it’s one of the few cakes that my fiancé actually likes. One of the bakeries in our area actually does a lemon cake with raspberry filling and we’re seriously considering that combo for at least one of the layers of our cake.

I love all cake, I do not discriminate. :o) However, we’re having our tasting on Friday and we’ll be sampling yellow, devil’s food and white chocolate. I would be game for red velvet, but FI isn’t a fan, so we’re keeping it simple. Either way, it’s cake and I love cake!

Neither FI nor I are big fans of chocolate.. so we’re going with a white cake with a filling of buttercream and strawberries. We had our cake tasting on Friday and it was sooooo good. I love cake, but I think I love cupcakes more 🙂

@V : This is what Red Velvet cake it. It’s not a very sweet cake, but paired with the frosting it’s just perfect!

We have 3 layers: vanilla bean with cream cheese frosting and carmelized pineapple filling, lemon cake with cream cheese forsting and lemon curd filling with fresh rasperries, and spice cake with cream cheese frosting and apricot preserves.

I think we’ve almost decided on doing a cake buffet, that way we can have multiple flavors.
