@eecuadrado:  Love the design!!!! We’re doing red velvet w/ cream cheese on two layers, and poppyseed with lemon custard one two layers. I had a friend who did chocolate with Baileys irish cream filling (like a mousse) and it was soooo good!

I like the lemon on lemon, but would also consider lemon on raspberry (two flavors that go very well together)

If you really like Redvelvet, I would think about having the top two layors as redvelvet.  We are having our top two layors the same, just so there is a good mix of each cake.

Ooh. That sounds delicious. Or alternately, what about a flavored cake with peanut butterish filling on the top layer? Or an almond filling?

@eecuadrado:  And it’s a wedding, so confetti seems fitting 🙂

Do you have anyone coming who has a food allergy? It might be a nice gesture to do the top cake as a dairy free/gluten free, etc cake as a nice gesture? Not by any means saying you have to, just mentioning it in case you suddenly have a “oh yeah, FMIL is allergic to eggs!!!” eureka moment.

@eecuadrado:  Darn. I didn’t think of that. But… nuts are so delicious! Lol.
