You know, I looked and looked, and it turned out that my lovely bakerery provided a very simple and elegant looking one with the cake. So I'm glad I never found one, I guess. You might check with your bakery to see if that is the case for you as well.
I found a really nice plain set at Ross Dress for Less (kinda like TJ Maxx - an overstock type store) for six bucks. I think they were originally thirty something. But they're plain (no hearts or sparkles or anything) and that's what I wanted, so I was really glad to find them, especially because they were so cheap.
So I would try there and then maybe some home stores like JC Penney or Bed Bath and Beyond.
i LOVEEEEE the ones that msbliss posted!!!! i wish i had seen them a few months ago! :( you can find nice ones if you check sales at macy's and other department stores. also, ask around in your family to see maybe you can use your parents' servers or somebody on your fiance's side so they are kind of passed down to you? i had trouble finding simple ones, too. i think my soon-to-be-mom-in-law found ours for us on sale at macy's.
I purchased this set off amazon for 19.99 and it looks remarkably similar to the Kate Spade one MsBliss just posted.. I was just browing Amazon and thought it was pretty!
I am havng the hardest time finding a simple cake servnig set. Can anyone give me some suggestions of where to look...

They say Mr. and Mrs. but otherwise are very simple and classic.
