What are your colors?
For my brothers wedding (the venue is black and white) we got them black flutes and the engraving was done on the foot, in a silver fill. They are completely different and modern.

We are using two flutes from the stemware we registered for by Vera Wang:

Right now I'm loving these Kate Spade ones...They just have a very subtle Mr and Mrs on them.

Ours are from Things Remembered. The flutes have our monogram, the knife says "HisFirstName and Herfirstname Marriedlast name 10/24/2009" and the server says "This is true love, it doesn't happen everyday" - It's a twist on a quote from The Princess Bride. :)

I just found these on Overstock for $25.
I haven't decided wether to get a set & flutes or just use what they have at the venue. If I do get a cake server set, it will be something that goes with our flatware, etc.

We bought a cake serving set that matched our crystal stemware: Ballet Ribbon by Waterford. We also just used two of the champagne flutes that we received off of our registry.

Anyone else having a hard time finding a modern looking cake serving set and flutes?
Everything I find is too cutesy..hearts etc. Just not my style.
Anyone have any great modern, simple, elegant ideas?
