I don’t think there is anything wrong with having several different cakes…more yummy options for your guests!!  I plan to use different flavored cupcakes for this very reason!!

I think having 4 diff cakes is great.  Having all different colors will be fine, decorate the table and cakes with coordinating wedding flowers and all will be perfect, besides, this is your wedding, you can have whatever you want.  Thats what makes it special.

I too am having 3 different size cheesecakes, optional toppings and cupcakes.

I’ve seen lots of weddings were the cakes don’t necessarily “go”. Have you seen Cowboy Boot’s pie bar? They’re all different pies and the presentation is still jaw dropping!

I like the idea of having different cakes.  Like Rainbow says–Mrs. Cowboy Boot did an amazing pie bar and it looked awesome.  As a guest, I would love seeing multiple cakes at a wedding–YUM!

I love the way dessert bars look with all the different desserts. Maybe you could add some candy or cookies or something if you still feel it looks odd with just four different types.

Different cakes as a dessert bar seems to be quite a fad these days, sounds like you’ll be both getting what you want and a crowd-pleaser.  Go for it!

I say go for it!!!

We had a four tier cake with 4 different flavors and each had its own filling.  It was quite the crowd pleaser!  I love dessert bars too – everyone gets what they want 🙂

When we first started planning, I really wanted our centerpieces to be individual wedding cakes in all kinds of flavors….the hubs nixed it, but I still love the idea of different, smaller cakes.

i think that would be awesome! i’d much rather get to pick the kind of cake i want, and it would be pretty to have the variety of different cakes.

I wanted to do cupcakes, but once I started looking into it I got frustrated and EVERYONE seems to be doing cupcakes. Plus, with cupcakes…how the heck do you do a topper? I have been looking into doing the giant cupcakes and thinking about doing some chocolate and some just a white cake, and frosting them 2 different colors. I’d like to know what your thoughts are bees. 🙂

And I don’t see anything wrong with your different flavors! I think that idea ROCKS!!!
