I absolutely loved cake tasting too. It was so fun! I voted for chocolate and peanut butter – yum!

Either cherry chip or vanilla for me. I love chocolate cake but unfortunately can’t have the peanut butter frosting.

@skippydarling:  They sound delish!  I loved my cake (first wedding)  banana cake with filling of whip cream & fresh bananas and whip cream frosting  (very light & not as sweet as it sounds) Groom’s cake was poppy seed cake with marrion berry filling & buttercream frosting.

@trixiesrockets:  Orange butter cupcake – reminds me of orange sickle ice cream…yum!

    I don’t like chocolate so I wouldn’t have any.

@skippydarling:  Cherry chip with vanilla buttercream IF the cherries are fresh. I cannot tell you how much I hate dried fruit, especially if it’s like maraschino cherries. Otherwise I think vanilla with chocolate frosting. I think I’d rule out the chocolate cake with peanutbutter icing if it’s not your favorite because peanuts are a very common allergy. Then again, if the cake was prepared in a bakery that handles nuts it might not be safe for people with bad nut allrgeis to eat any way. You should maybe look into that so you can inform your guests of potential problems.

@skippydarling:  I loved cake tasting!  And we LOVED our cake!  We had a lemon cake with cream cheese frosting, a marble cake with cream cheese frosting, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, and our top tier (and my favorite!) a chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream.  Man, now I want cake!!

I would totally choose the chocolate and peanut butter slice.  The best combo!

I don’t like filling generally but I do like the peanut butter anything so I would probably try that.

I’ve never had cherry chip and I like fruit-flavored things, so I’d have to try that one!

@skippydarling:  They all sound like they’re great if you like those flavors! I don’t like cherry or chocolate, so I don’t know if I’d take the cake, but I’m weird 🙂

@skippydarling:  OMG. I hate hate HATE cake, but our baker made cupcakes. One of them she called “chocolate covered cherry” which was a white cake make with cherry pie filling and chocolate chips then topped with buttercream. I drool thinking about it. It was so so  dense, and gooey, and GOOD. If I were a guest at your wedding, I’d pick that in a heartbeat.. and run away with all the leftovers!
