Do both!  I’m planning to use flowers on top with an initial cake topper….I’ll just use a bit less flowers than your first photo shows.  πŸ™‚

well it depends on your overall theme for the wedding. if its more modern then def. do the letter. if it’s not then do the flowers!

I think it really depends on your cake design.  Do you have an inspiration photo of your cake?

    I’m voting for the monogram!!

Hydrangeas are actually poisonous & shouldn’t come in contact with anything edible. The stem AND petals are toxic. This could result in rashes, swelling or someones throat closing!! The other downside to hydrangeas is the fact that they wilt so quickly… 30 minutes out of water & they start to droop!

I love hydrangeas & I’m having some in my bouquet– only they’re not real (from Restoration Hardware). If you’re set on going with the hydrangeas I’d seriously consider some fake for the health & safety of the guests! πŸ™‚

If you do go with real hydrangeas I’d suggest putting the stems in capsules & wrapping them with waterproof floral tape. If your cake is a buttercream creation you will probably need to put a parchment paper circle down to stop the petals from touching the frosting! Talk to your baker & see what he/she says and if they’re willing to help at all!

I’m sorry if I rained on the hydrangea parade πŸ™
