I got this cake topper made by a seller on Etsy. The way she works is- she makes what you want, then sends you photos of it. If you like it you buy it, if you dont like it you don’t have to buy it.
I love most of it: the dress looks just like mine and the flowers, hair and veil are great. The grom is wonderful too. I’m just not loving my broad shoulders and fat neck. Am I being way too picky? Should I just buy it? Its $45 plus shipping.

Honestly I think you’re being a typical picky bride, ha ha – don’t worry I am too. I think thos figures are suuuper sweet. I love that personalized touch to it. However saying that, I do think the shoulders and neck are a bit broad for a woman figurine (look at the grooms neck! its tiny!) maybe thats the only way to get the proportions correct? who knows
anyways I do think they’re adorable! and think you should go with them! I think your guests will love them, and I am sure its one of those things once you wrap your head around it, you’ll love them too!
good luck with your decision!

I think it’s adorable, but maybe the etsy seller can make some adjustments if you’re really unhappy.

Awww….it’s adorable! I wouldn’t even notice the "fat neck" if you hadn’t mentioned it LOL…

The shoulders are pretty broad but I think it’s cute. I wouldn’t notice at all — I’d be impressed you got a cake-topper that’s unique!

I think they are adorable. Is the bride one how she usually makes her other orders? If they’re about the same, I wouldn’t worry about it, if you look through her past work and see that this is a fluke, then ask her, I’m sure she’ll work something out if she has that generous of a policy.

ok I am going against the grain! I don’t really like the shoulders and neck either, but it reminds me of wallace and grommet style figures which I am not a fan of either. But if you think you are just being picky and really like it go for it. It’s really up to you!

Oh I think they are SO cute! Could you tell us which Etsy seller? They do look like Wallace and Grommet characters but I love love love Wallace and Grommet!

if you’re not happy, tell the seller. etsy sellers are usually very accommodating. don’t be afraid to voice your thoughts. if you don’t like it 100%, then you won’t be happy with it and you’ll just regret your decision. so i would talk to the seller and ask if the shoulders can be fixed.

Pennyp….I have to agree with you…Im not crazy over them…and it looks like the bride has no neck. The groom is very cute and the dress and bouquet are cute on the bride…but Im not digging the face and neck of the bride. I know a lot goes into making things and esp. for special orders….but you have to do with your gut and your heart. Plus I would think they could be holding hands or something…like they love each other!

Whoa, whoa, whoa!! How can she do business that way? Not even a deposit? Eeek all that extra work for nothing.
They are really cute, but I will agree that the neck is a little too wide… probably because anything thinner couldn’t support the head? BTW: the dress is so gorgeous & the details are fantastic!
Discuss this with her & see what she says. If she can’t adjust the neck or isn’t willing to change it then I’d say pass.

It is cute in the detail pic, but when I saw the "front" pic, it looks like she gave you eye wrinkles on the topper!!!!!!!!!!

Omg MsHymanRoth– it looks like she DOES have wrinkles! The groom has one line & the bride has 3 on each side of her eye… eek. lol I think you just made this a harder sell…
