I love Cake Wrecks SOO much. Seeing the terrible wedding cakes is the best part.
I love it too! I saw it posted on NYTimes yesterday lol I've been following for awhile after a friend had showed me.
My fiance guffaws every time he sees these two pictures:

My favorites are always the baby in the belly ones - like torsos with baby feet showing... weird.
The first time I read Cake Wrecks, I laughed so hard I CRIED. I don't do that very often, but oh.. the joy. They have a book out too! That UK one breaks my heart! I graduated from there!
oh man ... I love me some cake wrecks - it's on my list of "Websites I must check everyday before I get to weddingbee and ruin my chance of looking at any other sites."
I love that site. However the fact that it's nearly all professional cakes is scary because it makes you wonder how those folks still have jobs and are allowed to get away with what they do.
As for the crazy narcissist bride/cake, that's a category in itself that I wouldn't put on Cakewrecks since it's not a mistake of any kind like the others are. That's more along the lines of Bridezillas or something else entirely.
I love love CakeWrecks! Often when I'm reading it, I laugh so loud that my husband wants to know what is so funny!

Does kinda fall into 'zilla territory maybe. I wonder if her grooms' cake is really the groom? does it match hers?

I love this one. But it's actually a good rendering of what I'd call the "alien wedding" cake!
@Bellenga, from what I heard, there was no groom's cake at that wedding or anything at all associated with him as it was all about her.
That last one would actually work for a sci-fi theme. I don't see anything wrecked about it other than you do need a creative imagination to tell what it is. It is cute in its own way.

What's funny is that there have been photos of cakes with things written on them that weren't supposed to be for years now! What's up with that? I saw one a long time ago that said

and that cake that looks like the bride is strange, self-serving, creepy, and narcissistic all in one.
one of my fav sites and when i see the wedding "inspiration v perception" cakes im reminded again, you get what you pay for!
