At the bottom of this link there are county clerk office #'s for you to call for this sort of thing - or you should be able to find yours in the Gov't section of your phone book.

We went down to the county clerk's office (ours was Beverly Hills). You can fill out the license online http://www.lavote.net/Clerk/Marriages.cfm

ETA: That's if you're in LA county!
Ditto everyone else. Ventura Coutny allows you to fill it out online which saves time but you still have to go in an sign, swear and oath and provide ID.
Just google your county and the word marriage license, it will take you exactly where you need to go

we're getting married in 3 days and we have yet to get our marriage license. i'm scouring the internet but i have no clue where/how to get the license. please help?! i read you can fill something out online and go pick up?
