I'm getting my marriage license in two weeks. I've read the Name Equality Act and the entire license application... But I'm still confused as to how it works. If I change my name on my marriage license, does that mean I HAVE to change it? And if I don't change my name on my marriage license, does this mean it will be 10x harder to change it later if I decide to?
I'm not exactly sure how it works and the application says the clerks can't answer questions on the Act for you, so I'm worried about waiting until I get there to figure out what I'm going to do. Any info/experience with this would be really appreciated!!
