Newport Nuptials Fall 2010 Rhode Island / Massachusetts

I am looking for a place that offers calligraphy claases in or near Boston, preferably not North of Boston. Has anyone had any experience with this? Or know of a place that offers this?

What about online or great books that teach calligraphy? I'd be really interested in that!

Bellega, i have 3 books on calligraphy. they are a waste of money. You have to take a class at an art shop or Joann's or Michael's to actually see the way its done....unless you are great at learning by yourself, i don't recommend... :)

I know the North Bennet Street School (North End) has classes sometimes in conjunction with Abbey Studio.

Northe End would be really convenient. I may look into the Abbey Studio as well, I saw their prices are a little high, but it will be a lot less than paying somene else to do it, plus I think it will be fun to learn.

Has nayone taken classes at either of these places? or Michaels or AC Moore? I didnt know they offered classes. I'll have to look into that as well!

Thanks for the suggestions so far. If anyone else has more, I'd be intererested too!
