If you want something that looks big on your finger, remember that cushions face up pretty small. They are beautiful though!

Berricle has very similar styles in the size you’re looking at. I would order one from them and wear it around for a while to get an idea of the size you like.

@futuremrswarden:  I have a cushion cut halo similar to the one in your pic (1.31 centre stone, 2 total carat weight) and i’m roughly a size 5 and a half. I also love bling and people constantly comment on how big mine looks – it’s not so huge that it’s tacky looking (like costume jewellery as you said!) I think it’s the perfect size!

That said, if you’re a slightly bigger size and 3 is in your budget, go for it, it’ll look fab! 😉

@futuremrswarden:  I found this diamond carat size chart from Blue Nile to be helpful when my FI and I were looking at diamonds to get a better idea of size.  You can cut out the various sizes/cuts to get a feel for how they would actually look on your finger.  http://pics.bluenile.com/assets/chrome/pdf/diamond_carat_size_0810.pdf

My ring is very similar to the one you posted, but my finger size and the carat size aren’t quite what you asked for, so that’s why I didn’t include a picture. 🙂

Mines not a 2, it’s a 1.38 but I thought it might help a small amount since I’m also a size 8. Mine has a halo and 3 stones on either side which help 🙂

I am posting because I am a size six and this is about a 2.8 ct stone. They can be smaller face up but I honestly would not change it for something else. Coverage is not the same as a round though!

Mine is a RB but it’s just under 2 carats. My fingers are size 7.5 for scale. I’m a believer in bigger is better so if you can afford 3 carats then I say go on with your bad self. Some days I think my stone is gigantic but usually I think it looks like a good size on my fairly big hands.

@futuremrswarden:  I wouldn’t worry about people thinking its fake… People who care about you won’t think so, and people who don’t know you can’t keep their silly opinions to themselves! Bling it up! I’m about to rock a 2.1 carat round brilliant on a size 4 tiny hand once he proposes :)! get what you like… Don’t worry about people asking if it’s fake, they are just jealous of your hypothetical awesome bling

@futuremrswarden:

@LittleE3:  +1 – if it’s real then it’s real. You know it is and those around you will know. If they ask then just say “Yep it’s a real diamond” and if they argue with you then they’re weird as f.

@cjah:  also your ring is beautiful… Mine will be similar but in yellow gold… its an heirloom. We could afford something like a third of the size we are getting and I’m thrilled!!! Congrats on wonderful bling and hopefully a wonderful man who gave it to you
