kglasgow:  im not quite 35, but I’m close. I didn’t choose my ring, only the cut. FI chose clarity, color, carat and setting. However, its definitely blingy. Which, no matter how old I get, is what I like. But, its also simple. Clean lines and not too big. Perfect for me.

Here’s my specs: princess cut, color H, vvs1, 1.7 carat center with a little less than 1 CTW small rounds on the sides, custom milgrain setting in white gold. I think my ring is a good balance between flash and class.

I’ve been married 20 years.  First ring was a .5 carat diamond. Then upgraded to 1.5 carat diamond solitaire.  Got bored with that, had solitaire set in halo 10 years ago. Halos were not popular then, even had a jeweler scoff at me for wanting something so ” old fashioned”. Had to get the halo custom made.

Now for our 20th anniversary,  I’m getting a 3ct moissanite set in a halo. Hubby wanted to buy a diamond,  I said no.  So I guess as I’ve aged and become more comfortable in my own skin and don’t care what people think, I’m all about big and blingy.

I was 34 when we got engaged, but I’m 36 now. 🙂  I knew I didn’t want a solitaire, so I ended up with a family diamond in a halo setting.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a pic with my wedding band on this computer. It’s curved to fit around my ring.

My new halo is being customized to bezel set the stone.  Broke a prong on my old prong set halo. Currently wearing bezel set cz and just find it so much more comfortable and worry free than prongs.

Another bezel. 🙂  Center stone is an aquamarine that is about 2.6 ct. Side-stones in the band are diamonds, and two diamond eternity bands around the ering.

I just turned 38.

ering is 1.9 tcw moissanite, center is 1.35 plus halo. I am in LOVE with it!

Beautiful rings, ladies! I love seeing each and every one of them.

I definitely fall into the “over 35” category — lol. DH and I have been married 16 years. (Just celebrated #16 a few days ago — woo hoo!)

My original ERing was around .75 or 1 carat TCW, with the center stone being around .5 carat.

For our 15th, DH gave me the ring I wear now. I often call it an upgrade, but, really, I think of it as an anniversary ring. It’s also a round brilliant. The center stone is .90, with about 1.5 carats in princess cuts on the setting. It’s in platinum — I always dreamed of having a platinum ring.
