Candice1990:  We went to KL and Lang Kawi. Don’t really recommend thaaat much as tbh I found Lang Kawi a bit boring (and too humid for me). Our hotel was amazing though.  If I had my time again I’d go back to Vietnam (love Hoi An, Hue, Nha Trang etc) – cheaper and more to do! DH wanted a tropical, relaxed honeymoon but I’d also enjoy going to Europe again (Italy in particular). My sister went to NZ for her honeymoon and did lots of adventure stuff and had a great time too.

Hello! I’m in tassie and well be going to Canada on February. I guess we don’t like the warm, or something. Haha.

We did very seriously consider the Maldives though, but fairly expensive.

  • Wedding: A very pretty church.

We probably won’t be having one (the wedding is sufficiently expensive), but at a pinch, somewhere in Asia if there is money/time. We’re getting married in the UK, so could possibly sidestep to somewhere European for a ‘mini-moon’ I guess, or have an extended stopover honeymoon on the way home in one of the transport hubs (Dubai, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur). We got pretty ill coming back from Tokyo via KL last week, so I am pretty sure KL is off that list, maybe I could twist his arm for a week in Kyoto (we found Tokyo to be less expensive than Sydney and 3 times as interesting) but only if there is time, got to get back to work ;).

I’m living in Australia, but don’t have a honeymoon planned at the moment – I’m getting married in Ireland (where I’m originally from), and 6 days later I’ll be getting married again in India (where FI is originally from). So between all that travelling there’s not really any time for a honeymoon. But we’re hoping to have one later – possibly Japan, or maybe just a mini-moon somewhere in Oz.

Fiji! Beautiful sand and sea and not too long on a plane. Mana Island was beautiful. Or if you’re not into beaches, a NZ South Island fly-drive for the most stunning scenery.

My BF and I have been to Paris and Barcelona together and both times after 30 hours travel time it took a few days to recover and feel romantic towards each other!

I am going to Hawaii – we got flights from Jetstar for 700$ return which was cheaper than our last asia trip. and then we are using vrbo.com and booked out some great beach houses for amazing deals.

The Maldives!! So excited 🙂 FI’s reasoning is that we’re spending all this money on other people for the wedding, so we should get to spend some money on just us two. Also it might be underwater soon with global warming, so best to go sooner rather than later 😉 Solid reasoning there lol.

We felt that somewhere in Oz wouldn’t feel as special, I’ve already been on a cruise to the pacific islands, and neither of us fancy SE Asia.
