@thumpurr:  I ahve been shaving my upper lip for over 10 years and no it doesn’t grow back thicker and no more hairs don’t grow.  I shave it about once every 2-3 weeks and that takes care of business for another 2-3 weeks.  I used to bleach but it made the rest of the non-problem hairs stand out even more so it really wasn’t doing the job.  As for facial waxing, if anything it is supposed to damage the hair follicle and cause the hair to grow back thinner after doing it consistently for a long time.

Waxing definitely does not make it grow back thicker!

@thumpurr:  I waxed mine for years, and it definitely didn’t influence the hair growth for better or worse.  Depending on what the hair is like and how sensitive your skin is, you can also bleach your upper lip hair (they sell kits at the drugstore), but I thought it was more irritating than waxing.

I’ve been waxing mine for years also and it’d anything, it’s gotten thinner and more sparse. It’s not very dark to begin with, just noticeable in the right light. But I do mine about once every hree weeks at home with either Sally Hansen or Veet strips and it works just fine. I’d recommend it!

@thumpurr:  I’ve never waxed my lip, but I do get my eyebrows waxed every so often.  I’ve noticed that it actually grows back in thinner and more sparse.

I don’t have any coarse hair on my lip, but I do have dark hair so the normal “peach fuzz” everyone has stands out a bit more on me.  I have one of those Finishing Touch small electric razors and I just use that every so often on my lip.
