Try lane Bryant – not sure if they still have them but I bought a couple strapless full torso ones they let u try on in salon kind before when i was a bridesmaid. They will prob be cheaper and I think have 50% off on line promo right now? I will be using one of the ones I already have- hopefully:)

@julzlopez7:  Go to a proper lingerie store and get fitted for a good bra. You will never regret the $$ spent on a good foundation garment.

Same thing happened to me , I think they have two.different ones one with the boning and one without. I HATED the one without but loved the other.

I got mine on eBay for 15$ and really regretted it. No good coverage and it kept getting bunched up below my breasts. The ONLY time I ever liked a bra I had was when I went to a lingerie store and was fitted for one. Turns out I was wearing them incorrectly the whole time too lol.

it wasn’t super regret for getting an ill fitted bra, but it would have been much more comfortable if I’d have gotten a better one, and I’d be wearimy it still instead of it hanging in my closet collecting dust

I spent about that much for a long-line bra when I got married the first time around, in 1989.  It’s definitely worth the money to buy the well-fitted undergarments.

Lane Bryant has a lingerie section (cacique (?)

I love their bras. Love Love Love. and the pricing is decent. Bare Necessities.com is nice too.

I need advice about a different undergarment.  I had implants put in 10 years ago (before I was hourglass – is that a nice word?- shaped) so even though the boobs are big they’re perky and I don’t needd a lot of support on top for my dress.  My problem is that I need something to hold my stomach in.  I look pregnant! I’ve tried corsets and the boning shows through my dress and even pokes out oddly at the bra line.  I’ve tried body shapers that are just a tube for your torso – the top and bottom roll up and show – and these are high quality, not low end things.  I’ve tried body suits with shorts attached but the legs just roll up and cutt of circulation and they always have straps and the dress is halter top.  I feel like the staypuff marshmallow man when I wear these things.  🙁

I agree with the others who said that it’s worth the money. I have a very stupid bra size — 34H — that is impossible to find outside of an actual lingerie store, so my bras are always at least $60. BUT they do the job and I wouldn’t skimp on something that is important for both comfort and aesthetics.

Nordstrom! I found a great 36E strapless there. And they have sales, so you can usually get some for about $50.

@julzlopez7:  My dress was one-strapped and altered so well I actually didn’t need a bra at all (and I’m a DDD)! If you have the option, try it without one. Otherwise, a good plus size strapless bra is definitely worth the money and you can wear it again.

@julzlopez7:  I used to be a DD (but had breast reduction surgery). A corset always worked well for me because it supported the girls and I knew that it wouldn’t budge. I’d go to a specialty lingerie store and get fitted. If it’s more than what you want to pay, I’d really look at it as an investment- a good bra is so hard to find, so when you see it you should go for it.

$90 for a good, fitted to you, long line bra is NOT too much money. You will never regret spending the money on something that will support you the entire day while remaining comfortable enough that you don’t have to worry about running to the loo to adjust yourself. This is coming from a woman with a 40G bust who refuses to buy shitty Lane Bryant bras after investing $60 in the most comfortable bra I’ve ever owned.

I wore the wrong size (cup too small, band too large) for years before biting the bullet and going to a nice lingerie store (NOT Victoria’s Secret) / They changed me from a 36C/D to a 32F. The bra was $60 but worth every damn penny. Seriously, this is a place to splurge, and you can wear a good bra for a lot of occasions after the wedding.
