Hello my fellow Boston bees! This post is in response to the possible CT/MA meetup. It looks like it will end up being kinda far from Boston, so as much as I would love to meet the CT ladies, I was thinking we should set up our own Boston meetup! What do you guys think? Anyone interested? I figure maybe after the holidays will be best since things always get hectic this time of year. So who's in?! I know there are a bunch of Boston gals on here, so chime in if you'd be interested :)

@KatyElle: Awesome! Thanks for being the first responder. A couple others were from Boston on the CT meetup thread so hopefully we get a few more!
I'm fairly new to this, but I would open to it too! I live just north of the city!

@MissBoPeep: We'd love to meet you too! But now you're making me feel bad for not making the trek down to CT for the other meetup :P I swear, I'm a terrible driver though and avoid it at all costs. Thank goodness for public transportation!
Id be up for it in January - before school gets too crazy hopefully!!
I'd suggest Drink in Southie or the Avenue in Alston - two bars in Boston where you can have a conversation with someone next to you without SCREEEEAMING AT EACH OTHER!!!!

My job pays for my gas so I don't mind driving all over the place! Lol! Don't feel bad. :)
@mandypop: Yay! I've never been to either of those places, but I am definitely liking the idea of having it at a a place where non-screaming conversations can occur!
@MissBoPeep: Ah, okay, that makes sense. And lucky you, you get to meet double the bees!
I work in Boston (Longwood Medical Area) and I live in Newton, right on the D line. It seems like others are a little farther away, so is a weeknight meetup out of the question? I can basically do whenever.. so does anyone have preferences for when?
@Nicoley1985: I used to live in Newton (right near the Atrium Mall). I'm waaaay out near Leominster now though :(
I work in Sudbury, but would be up for a meet up if the timing works out. Unfortunately work has me on a first or second shift randomly right now.
@pinkshoes: Oh wow, Leominster is waaaay out there (I had to google map it, haha clearly I'm not a native MA girl). Hopefully the timing will work out so you can join!
I would have loved to, but with my wedding being NYE I'll be on my honeymoon until mid Janaury and then recovering from it all. I'll keep my eye open for the date that you all pick and see if it works out.
@sheilad72: Oh my goodness, you're getting married SO SOON!! I have always dreamed about a NYE wedding.. I'm sure it will be beautiful. Best wishes to you, and maybe if the meet-up date ends up being late enough you will be able to join us!
I'm a little late to this party (and new to the bee) but I would love to meet up! I'm in Cambridge but have no problem driving anywhere! Sometime in January after the holidays sounds good!
I'm in Waltham and would almost positively be interested depending on timing!
I'm interested too depending on timing. I am in Malden. I'd prefer a spot that's conducive to driving or T-ing (but since I can't commit I understand if you disregard my suggestion) I would be really interested to meet up at some point. Did we discuss day of the week or time of day?
I live in Chelmsford, so weeknights are probably out for me too. What about Saturday 1/7? I have no problem going anywhere in the area, Boston, Cambridge, Waltham, wherever.
Ooh more people! 1/7 is fine for me, anyone else have opinions? And I agree with LucyLaLa, we should probably pick somewhere that is both car and T-accessible.

@Future MrsB: My only concern would be is there a place to park? Paid parking or free parking? (Need to make sure I can afford to come between tolls, dinner, parking!)

Can a "waiting" bee join? Maybe by then I'll be off the list (Keep your fingers crossed for me ladies) If so...I'm in! If not....let me down easy lol.
Sure, that place sounds good. What does everyone else think? It seems like a burger-and-beer-type joint, so vegetarians or anyone speak up if you have other opinions! I eat/drink anything so I don't care where we end up :) Though thinking of that area, I just had a work holiday party at this amazing little tapas place, Tasca, if anyone is interested in that (and as a plus they take reservations). Or my favorite restaurant/pub, Publick House, in Washington Square in Brookline - best mac and cheese EVER and tons of good beers, but that might not be everyone's cup of tea either. Throw out some more ideas of good places you guys know of!
I'm not too familiar with parking in Allston, whether its paid or free or whatnot.. the only thing I'm familiar with (bc I used to live there) is free 2 hr parking in Brookline (on certain non-main streets). But Allston definitely seems easier than downtown in terms of parking.
@Phebelasha: Of course a waiting bee can join!
Hey, I think I can join on 1/7 :) I'm in Brookline, so I'm biased towards this side of the river (but admittedly, parking is also easier on this side...)
I so wish I could be there to meet all of you! My wedding is on January 22nd, and since we're living in NH I won't be able to get back home to Boston much before then. I hope you ladies have a wonderful time, and maybe I'll get to the next one! (And there WILL be a next one!)

Just wanted to wish all you bees a fantastic time at your meetup! I was planning on attending but I'm currently going through a miscarriage, so I'm not going to be up for/in the mood for a meet up. I will definitely come to the next one though! Have fun ladies :)

@Nicoley1985: I'd love to but as my wedding is now 74 days away I am in total panic and crunch time. I don't have an extra dime to spare as I am on one of the tightest wedding budgets you can imagine.
