What was the craziest YET successful thing you did to lose weight before your wedding???Tongue out

Anybody out there got a sure fire " I've said yes to the  dress so lets fit our fat ass into it" diet plan other than the usual? My wedding is July 1st of this year. I wanna lose a cool 30. I'm currently doing the low/no carb high protein, lots of water P90X combo. Any tried and true advice will be welcomed.

I'm also trying to lose weight for my July wedding!!  I've done P90x before and it was great.  Are you doing the doubles?  I'm currently in workout mode, doing morning and evening workouts and strict eating.  I think you are on the right plan, and if you stick with it, you are on the sure fire way, but it's not easy!!  I've lost ten pounds since January (but I was working 70 hours a week and not much time for exercise) and want to lose 20 in the next two months (in time for my first dress fitting)!!

No turning back now, it is too close and yes, I have to get my fat booty into that dress with no back/armpit fat.  lol  We can do it!!

@crystlrox: OMG I was thinking of the double workout and I'm on Spring break now. What's your eating schedule consist of? I eat turkey and chicken all day. I use raw veggies for snacks throughout the day and try to stop eating at 7pm. Oh and no wine or alcohol of course:( I'll try the double today. How long and intense are each work out for you?

The cardio workout which is the double workout is a really good workout, it combines moves from the kenpo, plyo, yoga, and core workouts.  The P90x workouts are pretty good, I think, I just did it in 2009 and then started it again this year, but got bored.  I think it definitely helps to add it in 3-4 times a week, so you end up working out like 9 hours a week, but it's worth it!!

If I do two workouts a day, I do a half hour to 45 mins of either Zumba (on the Wii), the P90x Cardio workout, or 45 mins of the yoga workout which I try to do at lunch/morning.  Then at night I do an hour of SPIN or Zumba toning at the gym.  I LOVE SPIN classes, I end up dripping with sweat, but it feels soo good  This past weekend, I did an 1.5 hour spin class on saturday and then an hour zumba toning class yesterday.   Both very high intensity.  I couldn't wake up this am, but am going at lunch time to do some yoga and then I'll do a SPIN class tonight.

My weekday eating plan consists of the following, since I'm doing double workouts, I'm eating carbs for the first half of the day.  I could probably be a little more strict, but I'm staying satisfied.

Breakfast: Oatmeal w/raisins, mini bagel (110 calories) w/cream cheese, or egg whites and turkey bacon

AM Snack: half a granola bar

    Lunch: Typically a small sandwich

afternoon snack: other half of granola bar

    Dinner: Meat and veggies

During the weekend, I splurge a little...like Saturday we went and had a beer and a burger, but that was the only alcohol I had for the week, so I'm pretty happy about it.  You have to splurge a little!!

I'm feeling pretty good, I want to lose the weight for the next 7 weeks, get my first dress fitting, and then focus on toning arms/shoulders for the wedding while maintaining.

Sorry, I think I wrote a book!  So are you sticking with the P90x workouts??  What about the meal plan?  Some of the recipes are pretty great!  What phase are you in, did you just start??
