@Desiree77:  I wasn’t there, but I wanted to say hi because I was just across the water for my wedding! I’ll bump for you =)

I think you should have nothing to worry about. I’m getting married there in less than a month (gulp). Having already had my tasting, I can honestly assure you that the food was by far the best wedding food i have ever had. The appetizers and the entrees were delicious. I am almost relieved that the guests will not be stuffed during the cocktail hour so that they can truly enjoy their meals at the reception. This is also what the Hyatt Jersey City is trying to go for as well, since their culinary team is incredibly talented and refined.

Yes! my cake will be from Carlos Bakery as well and i had my tasting a few months ago. I’m not a dessert person and I’m opposed to super sweet cakes. To my surprise, their cakes did not taste heavy/rich and were not that sweet. I picked the chocolate ganache/truffle cake with raspberries.

Would any of you ladies mind sharing pricing info. for the hyatt regency JC? I am very interested in this venue but don’t want to waste my time if it’s going to be out of our budget (Saturday night in August). Feel free to private message me. Thanks in advance!
