Hello all,
This is my first post ever on weddingbee but I've always found this website a great resource for advice, info, etc when it came to planning my wedding not too long ago... please- any advice would be welcome...
So, one of my best friends is getting married next month in Charleston, SC at a historic house venue (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception). She found out this past weekend that the venue had a major landscaping/gardening disaster and will no longer be in a decent condition for her upcoming wedding. The staff are unhelpful and she's at an impasse on what to do and totally overwhelmed. She's scouting out other venues but most are booked for her date so I thought I would send out this request into the weddingbee world: Does anyone know of any off-the-beaten-track venues in/around Charleston that allow outside caterers? I know up north in VA where we live, several privately owned mansions are zoned and allow a few weddings a year (but they are just hard to find, you have to know someone).
Any one live on a historic property they'd be willing to share? ;)
Thanks again and let us know. Again, all advice is welcome.
And, yes, most guests have booked their hotel rooms, reserved flights so changing the destination is NOT an option. And there is not enough time for emergency/last minute landscaping...
Thank YOU Ladies...
