I'm more drawn to the blue shoes WITH the necklace. And yes, dress it up with a bracelet/bangle for sure. And I voted to nix the belt. The dress looks great without one.
Love the blue shoes and I think you could even punch it up with a color bangle, this is going to look lovely in your pics!
Definitely the gold shoes - they really lighten the look and with all of those gorgeous ruffles, you don't need to ground yourself with the shoes. I think the gold shoes are beautifully feminine. Belt - I could go either way. It sounds like you really want to define your waist with a belt and I think a belt the same width as the waistband on your dress would look really great. A white color or a pale gold perhaps to match the shoes?
I would suggest a belt, it will help to define your shape better and you can bring a pop of color in with it. If you do end up with a belt, then I would opt for the gold shoes so you can bring the color in with the belt!
I think a belt would goof up the ruffles... so, I voted blue shoes and then perhaps a funky clutch or chuncky bangles.
Blue shoes but, also....something around the waist maybe too, just even to test it out.
I think I'll go out and find a couple of belts next weekend and see what it looks like. Hopefully it won't call for Part III vote. ;) Thanks ladies!
My only suggestion if you go with the gold shoes is don't over do the gold with your accessories! Metallics are neutrals and can be mixed an matched! try an awesome Silver bangle and a splash of color with green or blue earrings or whatever color would go best with your wedding. As for the belt... I really think that's just up to you and how formal or informal you want your dress to look.
Have fun!
Definitely blue shoes.
No necklace - I couldn't even tell you were wearing a necklace at first... it got lost in the ruffles.
As for a belt - I don't think it's necessary - because you have the illusion of a belt with the fabric. I'd only wear a belt if you feel like it will show off your shape more.
Cute dress!
OK. I say NO belt, gold shoes, an arm of gold bangles and drop dead gorgeous earrings. I love the blue shoes, but when I look at the pic with them, that's all I see and the dress is fabu so def play that up!
I'm loving the blue shoes (although I'm biased because mine are blue too!)! I agree a belt would mess up those pretty ruffles - so I'd skip that.
Loose the blue shoes. If you can add a thick gold belt ... it will make the gold shoes look part of the outfit. The pearl are to much on the neck ... can you some how put it on your rist? Un-button the dress a liittle to give a little cleavage.. not to much but just a little.
i think the gold shoes really shorten your figure, because of the ankle strap and the fact you're wearing a short dress... the blue shoes elongate your legs and your figure... i also wouldn't use a belt because your dress already have a waist 'cut', like an integrated belt... why don't you try some chunky but elegant bracelets in blue and gold shades and some nice, medium lenght earrings?
Ankle straps always do shorten the legs and make you appear shorter. I vote blue shoes all the way! No belt, and wear the necklace and maybe a bracelet also. No belt. It's lovely as it is!
Carry a matching blue clutch and possibly some gold earrings with a sapphire blue stone in it giving it the blue tie in color!
I'd go with the blue shoes (they're fab!) and maybe do a cool cuff bracelet or a longer earring. I think the necklace is kind of competing with the ruffles on the dress.
I would definitely go for the blue shoes and I would do a blue bangle or gold bangle or something. Beautiful dress!
It's official! We went and made it official today. I'm a MRS!!!
Photos to come soon (as soon as we receive them from our photog); meanwhile, here's what I ended up doing for the outfit:
Small gold earings;
Delicate gold chain necklace with pearls;
my mom's gold ring as righthand ring (and something old);
and a pair of fabulous gold tone platform shoes I found last weekend (something new, along with the dress).
In the end, I decided to save the blue shoes for the "real(?)" wedding ceremony next Spring...that's if those shoes can wait that long in the closet! :) As much as I loved the shoes, it did overpower the whole outfit. Found a great blue Kate Spade bracelet (now I know it was Keswick Caning Bangle) that would've evened it out, but the Bloomingdales's salesperson couldn't find the price tag! That and the gold shoes I found (on sale) made the final decision for me.
Something "borrowed" were pins that were used to put my new last name initial 'D' on my DIY bouquet; and something "blue" ended up being a Hanky Panky with "I do" embroidered with crystals. ;)
You really can't see the accessories in this pic, but the best I've got for now. Also attached is my DYI bouquet using flowers from Dominick's! (My very first involving the wedding.)
BTW, thank you so much for all your helpful inputs and support! XOXO!
and the bottom part - the "other" gold shoes! :)

The dress is in! The shoes are in! I'm trying to choose an outfit for e-session and for a civil ceremony.
I tried the dress on with two dif pairs of shoes - one gold, the other blue.
I have on a pearl chain necklace on the left picture (gold shoes).
Which one do you like better? Any other suggestions? I'm thinking a thick gold bangle if with gold shoes...if with blue, thinking I should just keep it simple? The top part is a bit too long (I have short torso) and thought adding a thick belt could fix the wrinkles. Belt? No belt? Can you suggest any specific belts?...I'm really bad at (don't trust myself with) selecting belts...
