Today marks the 6 month mark until my wedding AND the start of trying to get in the best shape of my life :)

I would like to lose 10-15 lbs in the next 6 months!! Would anyone be willing to check-in on a weekly and/or daily basis to share our progress?

I would! I started about 2 weeks ago with a gym workout and 30 Day Shred but it was too much for my knee. I have rested the knee and it feels better so it's time to get back to it. I don't think all the squats and lunges in the 30 Day Shred are going to work for my knee (injured snowboarding) so I'm going to just do my gym workout with cardio, weights and core workout.

I would - I just started the gym about 2 weeks ago, 5 days a week of cardio and strength training / toning.  The hard part for me is eating healthy.  I LOVE healthy foods, but with the schedule I have it is just so much easier to eat pre-packaged foods, or toss something in the microwave...so that's the next step.  I have to make time to cook proper food.  Anyone want to share some of their favorite healthy recipes?  :)

Hello my 30 Day shred Friend! Count me in too, been doing good...I just bought Jillian's book..."Master your Metabolism" just as a get healthy plan. I am still workingout as much as possible but def need to drop some before the big day!

So far, from reading the book: i'm shopping differently, she says (sorry vegetarians)..."If it doens't have a mother or it didn't grow from the ground, DON'T EAT IT!...makes total sense. We consume so many chemicals from our processed foods we don't even know it!

I'm soooo off the bandwagon...eeeek! I'm stuck at the 124-ish. I refuse to weigh myself on weekends. I let a friend borrow my 30 day shred dvd and haven't gotten it back, plus finals and tons and tons of work for school keep getting closer. I will get back on the wagon tomorrow. Let recap the goals

    Starting weight: 130

    Current weight: 124

Short term goal (when dress comes in-120)

Long term goal (wedding day) 115

    Thanks accountabillabuddies!

How is this going to work? Are we going to have a new thread daily to check in?

Also, we have a Wedding Bee team on SparkPeople.com if anyone wants to start tracking their workouts & food.

I'm totally in!! I need all the support I can get!!  Although i hate seeing the numbers written down because they look a lot worse than I look, I think it helps my accountability too!

current weight: 221, want to lose 21, and be under 200 for the wedding in October :)

FYI I am almost 6 feet tall, so it is not as bad as it sounds!! today was my rest day, but I usually do the gym 5 days a week, with health eating!!  Any new healthy recipes would also be great!!

Woke up today with that gross feeling since I ate all those brownies. I made my 1 hour spinning class this morning and I'm about to head to a 1.5 hour spinning class at 7:30pm!  No more brownie binges for me. So far I've eaten broccoli and chicken with quinoa, tall skinny latte, and water.  Wish me luck!

@futuredrbraun - let me know what you think about the Jillian Michael's Detox. I did it awhile ago and it did nothing! I was so confused because I followed a really good diet that week and took the pills and drank tons of water?!?!

I'd love to check in with you girls - I need accountability too!!

Just got back from 1.5 hours of spinning and dinner with the fiance. I wasn't sure how my body would take  another session of spinning in the same day, but it was pretty easy.  I'll let you guys know how I feel tomorrow :)

Tuesday's Workout:  1.5 hours of tennis and an hour of thaiboxing (back to back).

    Wednesday: Weights, spinning, tennis

    Thursday: Spinning, tennis match

    Friday: Off or light run

I did really good today too yay!! It sounds like we all had a good day!

    Weight = I was down 2 lbs since yesterday (120.2 from 122.8). Goal = 105

Exercise = I got my heart rate monitor today and it is AMAZING! It really helped me to stay longer at the gym to see the extra calories being burned. I did an hour of cardio and an hour long full-body workout class!

Diet = Egg whites, 2 bananas, carrots, orange, 3 fat free hotdogs (only 45 cals each), 100 calorie ritz cracker pack, and tons of water!!! Still taking the Jillian Michael's detox/cleanse but nothing seems to be happening.

Today I played tennis for 1.5 hours and took a thaiboxing class for one hour. It was a laid back day compared to yesterday :)  As far as food, here's what I ate:

    Breakfast: Salmon, quinoa

Lunch: Chicken wrap, fries (sooo bad, but i was craving carbs), diet coke

Snack: Small piece of wedding cake (haha)

    Dinner: Quinoa, salmon, two eggs

I need to eat more veggies. I'll do that tomorrow.

Great job Anna!!!! You are seriously my inspiration :) How often do you weigh yourself? I have been everyday just to see where I'm at.

Today's weight = 120.8 (no loss, no gain)

Exercise = Burned 600 calories at the gym (so awesome to have my heart monitor counting away all those calories that I'm burning, especially when I want to quit before reaching my goal). And I did Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred when I got home to burn another 100 calories and to get some more weights in.

Diet = Egg whites, banana, carrots, 3 fat free hot dogs, orange, and water (need to drink more tomorrow). Decided that I'm not going to do the Jillian detox/cleanse anymore because it wasn't doing anything and I didn't want to put unnecessary chemicals/stuff into my body.

I'm planning to do kickboxing tomorrow at the gym :)

I think this is a great idea!  I don't really have anyone locally that is a workout buddy so this would be awesome.  My bf/FI and I are planning on starting P90x soon and I recently commited to running a 10k with some of my coworkers (I have NO idea what I was thinking!!!).

So if we're in, we just check in on this thread and post workouts and food logs?

    I'm so stoked about this!

If anyone is looking for some great workout moves, pick up the latest issue of SELF magazine with Jenna Fischer on the cover.  There are some great 20 min workouts there, and they really work!  (But you do need access to certain workout tools, like  a ball, free weights, etc).

Got lazy for the last week and a ahfl, but got back into the routine thsi morning!  Woohoo!

I did not do my best today so I'm worried about weighing myself tomorrow. Anna...I had french fries today AND a bag of m&ms. I also didn't go to the gym, but I'm going to workout extra tomorrow. Hopefully I didn't ruin my progress with one bad day.

I wasn't feeling too hot yesterday so skipped my workout and did 30 minutes in the sauna instead (my FI swears by them! he was one of those crazy wrestlers that where sweats and workout in there) They say you burn about 300 calories for sitting there.. I hopped in a cold shower after, and put on my sweats. Had a amazing night of sleep after that :) Woke up great today, i suggest it girls!

I went to the gym yesterday and today even though I'm still supposed to be on sick leave. :p

But, I weighed myself today and 4 more lbs down! That means I've lost 42 lbs now. Hollaaa! Now only 30 more to go. (Even though my trainer says that's too thin for my bone-structure. Lose. )

@Futuredrbraun:  Oh, I know the feeling of eating bad!!  French fries are so good!!  Just make sure you exercise and your diet is on point tomorrow - eat more veggies, less carbs, some protein, and lots of water. Every time I get off track, it takes me so long to lose the weight again. Gotta keep pushing.

@Honeybear and Fiftyfootbride: Good job! I need to stay on track!! What type of workouts do you do? I'm trying to lift more weights on top of my cardio.

My double spinning routine on Monday finally hit me today and I was SORE.  Skipped spinning today and played tennis for 2 hours.  Here's what I ate:

Breakfast 6am: 3 egg rolls (I figured if I was craving them, I'll have them early!!)

Lunch 12pm: Quinoa, tilapia, boiled okrah

Dinner 5pm: Quinoa, tilapia, boiled okrah

Snack - 9pm: Tall skinny vanilla latte, almonds/dried fruit, 200 calories of dark chocolate

I could have eaten more, but those 3 egg rolls and dark chocolate prob tipped me over my calorie budget!!!! :)  Tomorrow I have a big tennis match, so I'm going to go on a light run, then tennis for 2 hours.

All of you ladies put me to shame today!!! Great job...you are all very inspirational to me. I feel like I will be less likely to have a bad eating/no working out day when I can actually notice that I'm making progress. It is hard to be working my butt off and not seeing the number on the scale change, but I know that I just need to stick to it and tough it out (less than 6 months to go)!!!
