@busybee3791:  what kind of program are you in?

I work full time, but am only in school part time (for now). It’s only 1 class a week, so it’s pretty manageable. Props to you for being in a full time program! That must be hard. I’m done with class on Thursday and will be on break until early January and I am very much looking forward to that!

I’m finishing up my PhD in a microbiology-related field (still waiting on a defense date, but I think it will be scheduled near the end of February). It is by far the hardest and worst think I’ve ever done, every day I think that I should have gone to med school instead, I can’t stand my boss…..but if I hadn’t gone to grad school I never would have met my husband, so I guess it’s all worth it in the end.

Finishing up my doctorate in physical therapy. Can’t wait to finally be done in May! It’s a long road, but I’m finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel… unfortunately the board exam is a couple months after graduation. ugh!

I’m finishing up my MBA in April. These next 5 1/2 months can’t go by fast enough! Our one year anniversary is a few weeks before I graduate so we’re leaving on our big 1 yr/ graduation trip 2 days after I graduate. Like I said…April can’t come fast enough!

Final presentation is December 17th, but I’ve been at this for 2 and a half years, so I too feel your pain!

I start PA school next June, full time. Currently finishing undergrad, and just from the PA school info sessions, I know I’ll be going crazy

@cmbr:  +1 on the med school.  I am so jealous of all of my friends that are now doctors!

I am in my fifth year of grad school- full time.  I am working towards my PhD in Biomedical Engineering.  I started right after college, and am so burnt out.  I will HOPEFULLY be defending sometime over the summer.  The earlier the better.  At least hoping to get my experimentation done by May so I only have to finish up with my writing.  I am defending my thesis proposal next Friday- I have been putting that off for WAY TOO LONG.  I am just ready to get it over with.

Good idea to start a support system for all of us grad school bees!  I can’t believe some of you are working part/full time while doing school, you go girls!  That’s amazing!

I’m almost 2/3 of the way through my master’s program.  I went back to school after being away for 6 years and I honestly can’t wait for it to be over, even thought the particular program I’m in isn’t too hard.  I think it’s really difficult to go back to school after estabilishing your life and forming adult habits.  I can’t imagine trying to do it after having children.

I’m in my third and final year of law school. Once I graduate in April (eek!) I have to write the Barrister & Solicitor exams, and then do a 10-month internship (I’m Canadian) before being licensed to practice.

I’m taking some of the hardest courses this semester of my law school degree this semester including Income Tax, Wills & Succession, and Real Estate. My brain actually hurts when I leave class, but i love it.

I do have Waiting Bee fever though…SO is going to propose sometime in July (we have a wedding date set too!), and I’ve been all over wedding bee…3 weeks til my first exam. AHHH! 🙂

I am a PhD in English literature! I won’t be done until 2019, oh my god. (I have a Master’s already, but it’s in a slightly different field, so I basically had to start over with my PhD.)

Sometimes I do feel like I’m too old for all of this–like, I won’t be starting my actual career until I’m into my 30s? What am I doing?!?!

But on the other hand, I actually love being a grad student. I love my school, my work, my field, etc.

Any grad school bees with kids? FI and I are planning to TTC in about three years, when I’m working on my dissertation. I can’t wait! I have baby fever like crazy.
