Hey! I'm getting married on May 2nd in Indy. The ceremony is at St. Lukes Methodist Church (in the chapel) and the reception is at the IMA. The chapel at St. Luke's is very cute and intimate and they let you use your own minister (since I'm originally from northwest indiana). I'm super excited about the IMA - I love the events pavillion room with all the glass windows and the big fountain in front! My photographer is Angela Talley, florist is Tiffany from Eventful Florals, videographer is Indy Visual, makeup by Kiralee Hubbard, and our band is The Souled out Band. We're just trying to get the details planned now. I'd love to hear what everyone else is up to!
I'm getting married May 2nd too! We're getting married in Nashville at The Brown County Inn. Only 2 months away!
we're getting married in October 2010 in Indianapolis. I'm thinking of arranging a wedding-Hand-me-Downs arangement, where maybe 4 brides pitch in to get fabulous table center pieces and decorations, lights, white organza fabric to hang from fixtures or walls, whatever we want -- and then we use it for all 4 weddings.
We could do something like a 35, 30, 25, 20 split in cost so that the person who uses them first brand new pays 35% of the cost, and the person that uses them last pays 20% of the cost. With 4 or 5 brides pitching in, we could seriously get an classy event designer to design everything and we all split the cost of the
I think it would be a way to do fancy design once and get it for CHEAP and be fabulous!
We are having 200 people at our wedding and the colors are blue or green or both. Please let me know if you're interested!!!
I'm an Indy bee, but our wedding is up in Fort Wayne, at Goeglein's Homestead. I do have a local Indy photographer (JessiJefferson.com). We have a nature theme, so lots of natural and recycled products, browns and greens and splashes of color from the fresh flowers.
My wedding is July 17, 2010 at Second Presbyterian Church on North Meridian. This church has a lot of family history for me. It was my grandparent's church, my parents, three sets of aunts and uncles, and a cousin were all married there and it's where we held both of my grandparent's funerals. It didn't hurt that is also has a lot of beautiful stained glass windows in the sanctuary and is just stunning either!
My reception will be at the Mansion at Oak Hill which is a beautiful southern-style mansion with tons of windows and a beautifully landscaped grounds! Catering is done by Oak Hill so we didn't need to find a vendor for that. Maya Laurent and her husband Patrick are doing our photography. Our florist is actually from Fort Wayne and our DJ is a college friend whose coming up from Atlanta to DJ for us.
So excited! Under 2.5 months to go!
@FutureKMM - Who is your florist? I'm living in Indy but getting married in Ft. Wayne...
@charismaclassic - My florist is Mike Abele and he owns Indulge at 7120 Homestead Road. His phone number is 260-435-1943. He came highly recommended to us from a friend of my mom's. His prices are way better than anything else we saw - he really knows how to stretch a dollar. He doesn't advertise on his own ... says his work speaks for itself and word of mouth is the only advertising he needs. I was really impressed by that, the fact that he takes that much pride in his work. Let me know if you end up going with him!

If you're an Indianapolis Wedding Bee out there....I'd love to hear about your big day! (I've noticed not a lot of you check the local Indy Board...so I figured a mass post would be the best way to reach you fellow local bees!)
Where are you hosting your ceremony & reception? Why did you choose these fabulous spots?
What photogs, florists, caterers, videographers and musicians are you using?
Are you having a spring, summer, fall or winter wedding?
I'm curious to see the eclectic mix of vendor choices...and to see if any of you have booked the same ones as I did!
