@hotpinkbride:  I used all secular music.  For the processional, we did vitamin string quartet’s cover of ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ for the Bridal Party and ‘Stand By Me’ by Ben E. King for the bridal processional.

Our cantor told us she had never been to a wedding where the recessional wasn’t ‘Siman Tov’ but that we could choose whatever we wanted.  So we played ‘You Make My Dreams Come True’ by Hall & Oates.  Everything was a hit!

We used all Jewish music – Erev shel shoshanim, al kol eilah and ha malach for the processional in and od yishama for the way out! (we had a traditional Jewish wedding and definitely didn’t finish with simon tov)

I haven’t really thought about it yet, but I know where definately going with into our reception with Siman Tov for our Hora. I think the music we will go for during the ceremony will be secular though.
