Sounds like you’re doing just fine! I’m getting married on 6-16-18.

I’ve already sent my STDs and reserved hotel blocks. I wanted to make sure this was done pretty early since about 80% of our guests will be from out of town.

I also have my dress and venue/catering figured out. I’ve picked BM dresses and I think about half the girls have ordered them so far. We haven’t gotten around to tuxes yet.

We have a live band booked for the reception. I haven’t figured out what I want to do about ceremony music. My uncle is a judge and will be our officiant. My childhood next-door neighbor owns a bakery and will do my cake. I’ve also booked my date with my local florist but we won’t be locking down our final flower decisions for several months yet.

I have my usual hairdresser booked for my hair and he’s bringing a friend to do my BMs as well.

I think the men’s clothing and ceremony music are the main things I need to do, but I don’t think either of those is super urgent? I haven’t done much planning in a few months. It seemed like once I got the big stuff done, there wasn’t a rush to do everything else.

sparkosity :  We’re date twins! You and @saminthecity128 are making me feel behind. tongue-out We’ve booked:

The venue

The caterer

My dress is ordered

Wedding party is chosen, and 2 of my 4 bridesmaids have ordered their dresses

Engagement photos are done

We’ve registered for gifts

We’re working on finalizing the guest list, nailing down the photographer and videographer (we thought we had a photographer, but it turns out she can’t do our date), ordering save the dates, and choosing an officiant (we’re hoping to have a friend do it, just need to officially ask him).

Still to go:

Book DJ

Book florist

Book hair and makeup artist

Book ceremony musicians

Figure out decor, centerpieces, etc.

Figure out tuxes

Choose a wedding cake baker

Book honeymoon

Send invitations

Buy wedding bands

Gifts for parents and bridal party

We’ve also decided not to do favors, and I don’t think I’m going to do a hotel block since most of our guests are in town, although we do need to book our wedding night hotel room.

The list is overwhelming right now, but I’m trying to focus on just a few things at a time!
